    Hi all,

    Dave here – Late last year I decided that I wanted to get back into riding and finally get my motorbike license after a break of nearly 20 years.

    I started off when I was 11 on a Honda XR75 and now ride a 2009 Yamaha XT250 which I bought in mid January this year.

    I grew up in Lake Cathie, NSW and often travel up the coast from Sydney to visit my parents who still live there.

    I’ve only been off road once on my XT250, so I am itching to get back onto some decent off road trails.

    I live in Bondi Junction and at the moment I don’t have a trailer for my bike (so I need to ride on road in order to get off road)

    When I do get a trailer or find a lift I will probably venture back up the coast again to Lake Cathie. I particularly liked the ride out to Queens Lake which I used to do many years ago.

    Welcome Leeda73, I know the Queens lake area well as we ride around Wauchope and Comboyne most weekends. THere are a couple of Old Bulls living in Cathie,might pay to look them up when you come back up this way. Thanks for the intro and enjoy the site.

    Welcome to the site Leeda73. Good bike to get back into riding the XT.

    You’ll find lots of good info around here and some on bikes too. :laugh:

    Enjoy the site and hope to see you out on the tracks some day.

    Thanks all for the welcome to the site.

    I found the website after watching some DVD footage from Trailbike Adventure Magazine. I picked up a copy of the magazine whilst on a short break to Noosa Heads. Strangely enough I haven’t seen the magazine anywhere in Sydney Newsagents as yet (obviously I have been looking in the wrong ones).

    Welcome Aboard mate,
    Hope to meet up with ya one day on the trails.
    See if you can hook up on a ride real soon, the riding season is just hotting up now :woohoo:

    BTW, I just spent last weekend at Lake Cathie at my sister`s place, She moved up there after Xmas with her family. I used to spend a lot of time at Bonny Hills when I was a teenager too. Awsome place up there, nice & laid back pace ;)
