After crewing at the with Crash Condo 750 and looking after the great Mal5.1 for a week as his crew bitch at the 2010 A4DE both races using Crash’s little 10 litre fast fill I thought I need to get one of these.

You may think a fast fill is just wank of a thing but it has a few unthought benefits.

    a) You aren’t dicking around looking for a funnel.
    b) Its near impossible to spill.
    c) There is no cross threading caps etc
    d) They look cool as do you when using it
    e) They come in all different colours
    f) They stand up better and dont fall over like a Jerry can
    g) There dead easy to use, a young child could do it

Here is Lochie demonstrating, filling the mower when your in a hurry to get finished and have a beer is a breeze with the tough jug fast fill ;)

They look like a good buy, my Drz tank is stickerless thanks to my old dodgy Jerry can and it’s shaky owner!

Lochie’s wearing a bloody KTM hat shows how smart he is he couldn’t use a tape measure

No Menace they wont fit in a standard Jerry can holder :( I am going to build an enclosed trailer shortly so that will have holders for both :)

There isn’t a lot of difference and wouldn’t be a huge job ;)

In your first post you mention the 10L version. Do you have a picture of that. Is there any difference in speed between the 10 and 20L versions. I have heard the 20L ones are good when they are full but a lot slower once they get down to half full. Have you found any differences. Thanks

No pictures of the 10L. The 10L spout was purchased from Ballards years ago, the trouble with it was it comes without a Jerry Can and the only can that it would fit took forever to find so I avoided that. I haven’t noticed a difference in the speed after half full but by the sounds of that maybe the Williams F1 pit-stop crew could be better for you  I found it will put 17 litres in my mid size tank before I can take two bites from a energy bar in a pit stop, its plenty fast enough

Been using the smaller version for chainsaws for years now, excellent stuff, even an idiot can do it…. I have proven that many a time in training, they maynot be able to start the saw, but by crikey they don’t overfill them as they cutout when the tank is full.

After now using the tuff jug for a few away rides now I have to say I am really impressed with its ease of use and the fact that is no mess operation. It doesnt fall over and is easier to get the cap on and off then a Jerry can. I see a batch of orange ones at Sutto’s the other day for the other riders

Picked up one of these puppies today at the Suttos sale. I have used TB’s and Crash’s smaller one on a few rides and at the A4DE and found them to be quick and easy to use.

Now I have my own (in Husky White  ) so I can look like a fooly sic racer dude. Just gota get my pitt chick to fill my bike now.

If you have a Tuff jug like this and you didnt read or receive nozzle maintenance instructions please note you need to slide the nozzle open from time to time and spray the sliding mechanism with WD40 or the likes. The petrol going through the nozzle when its in use drys the o rings thus causing the nozzle to stick open or closed
