Hi, I have a small crack in the rear of my plastic tank. Other than this it is a good tank.

What is the best way of patching this?

I am off to town tomorrow to see if I can find something but I thought I would ask here first.

    Cheers

It does leak fuel. It is at the very lowest point as well so it alweays leaks fuel.

Got a very bad photo. Not sure you can even see it.

Theres a bloke at Tuggerah on the Central Coast that welded up my 24L acerbis tank I think I found him in the yellow pages. Best of luck! ;)
Or enquire at a place that sells plastic rain water tanks I’m sure they would have to be repaired at some stage for whatever reason.

Thanks guys. There are a couple of plastic welders in Bathurst so I will wait til tomorrow and take it in and get it done properly, rather than me stick some sort of patch over it.

I am having no luck with fuel lately. This tanks leaks, my roadbike has picked up some crap and I have a stuck float, my 250 has the same (must have got a dirty can of fuel from the servo), the XR REALLY needs a good clean as I think I have blocked jets in it……. ARGHHHHH :S

Couldn’t wait til tomorrow. Plastic welded it myself. All done, no leaks and back into the bike. B)
