I have always liked these bikes and will have mine at the end of next week :woohoo: Is there anything that needs to be done prior to riding that I should be aware of , gearing ect, or all I need to do is go riding with Puds and make him eat some big pumpkin dirt. 😆
July 10, 2010 at 12:17 am #183439Set up the suspension so it has the correct ride and sag settings is probably the first thing you should do. Look at the Tekniks website for information on how to do it if you are not sure. I have been doing that with my Berg this week, I have the static sag set but just need ahand to set the ride height when the young bloke gets home.
July 10, 2010 at 1:43 am #183444I would be fitting a Tow point to the back of the pumpkin so you can drag Puddles sorry arse out of any unseen stump holes he seems to find :laugh: :laugh:
Sorry Rod :blush: NOT :laugh:

July 11, 2010 at 11:03 am #183452Now pud thats not being nice , just a good thing you wear back protection, that way you will feel anything
when the 530 rides over the top of you :laugh:{or there is that option of that toe hook ”}
July 11, 2010 at 11:08 am #183477Thanks for all that I be shure to go over it with a fine tooth comb ”.
July 11, 2010 at 11:13 am #183506im not really up on the motors on ktms but do you have to take the cams out to do the valveshims on these, thats one thing i reely like on the husky very easy to do these periodic maintenance, The way the huskys been goin of late its hard to get rid of her its absolutely crackin at the moment so i have a dilema to sell or not to
July 11, 2010 at 9:39 pm #183507you don t have to take the cam out to do the valve shims just the rockers the valves don t move much anyway.
July 20, 2010 at 8:44 am #183441Hope you have more luck with it than we had with an 08 model

August 3, 2010 at 4:30 am #183442Picking up my 2010 450exc in 2 days time – they are the same bike … 530 has slightly bigger discplacement but every other part is identical.
Interested in your findings.
Cheers
August 6, 2010 at 4:00 am #183443Picked it up today and been for a quick blast at some parkland nearby.
Sweet.Bike shop removed rear tail light section, and moved blinkers and rego plate up higher.
