John Hall passed away today yesterday after a long illness. John was a mainstay of Enduro sport in this country for a very long time, he served on many Australian ISDE teams in various senior roles and his knowledge of the sport is irreplaceable. He was the father of the A4DE in Australia and bought the ISDE to Australia in 1992 at Cessnock. His accomplishments throughout the Australian enduro scene are beyond comprehansion in every aspect of the sport. Our sport in Australia owes much to this gentleman.

John was the TM importer for the boutique Italian bikes. He helped develop the bikes, giving feedback to the factory and steered Cross Country Action Motorcycles to being the biggest per capita TM marketer outside of Italy.

I just read a great interview with him in one of the dirtbike mags a week or so back.

It’s very sad when the good ones go.

    RIP.

In 1992 I first met John, He was the main man involved with setting up the 92 Cessnock ISDE. He was a man of wisdom and nothing was ever to hard for him. He helped me get my brand new 1992 model 360 running sweet and hooked me up with a heap of the local guns. I saw John at the last 2 dayer at Dungog and he came up to me and said Hi. I was stoked he still remembered me.
We have truly lost a great man in our sport RIP in John
