As I stated in my last post my mate and i were supposed to be heading for the the Ridge on the 27th, just gone, but as fate would have it he had to be back by Saturday Afternoon so we decided instead of cancelling the ride we would just modify it some what. So we meet up at Freemans on Friday Morning, and after a coffee decided to head out to Mudgee, to see my brother who’s just move there. We left Freemans and travelled through Branxton, toward Singleton out to the Golden Highway, Sandy Hollow, Jerry Plains ,Merriwa,Denman,Ulan,Gulgong,Hill End and Arrrived at Mudgee about 4PM,THE WEATHER TO SAY THE LEAST was bloody windy, and cold, but we didn’t really care to much as we were doing something we enjoyed, riding. We rode into Mudgee and called the brother for a location and to make sure he had the jug on. We arrived at his work and had a bit of a yak and a cuppa and although we oringally were going to stay the night decided to press on to Lithgow and find a warm bed for the night. Wayne brought his tent along just in case, but the weather and continual texts from my wife asking how broke mountain was, I was happy that we found a motel that was still open, and cheap. After a good and warm night sleep, although just 3 degrees we woke to find a nice sunny day to continue our journey home Via Richmond, Windsor, Wisemans Ferry, down into Yarramalong and then finally Freemans Waterhole our oringinal start point. Unfortunatley we didn’t do any trails, the Capo was wiling but Waynes 1990 GTR1000 was not, didn’t matter had a ball despite the weather and all,but we did see some amazing countryside, and meet fellow bike riders doing the same. The boss has put the skids on riding for the next few weeks while neglected domestic chores are caught up again, but have decided to ride to Yerraderie in the next few weeks, Probably a week day, but thats not a given at this stage, depends on work etc.
