With the Missus committed to work on Saturday night a spur of the moment decision was made to pack up the kids and our bikes and spend the weekend at my inlaws property, for some riding and a camp in the shed.
After last weekend’s pony express the kids were keen for some more trail riding.

AS a lot of you know, my inlaws have a 640 acre property at Comboyne that has a big shed that suits our needs perfectly for a weekend of riding and carrying on.

Taylah, Connor and myself spent Saturday riding the trails and fooling around on the natural terrain jumps. WE also took a ride to take in some of the views the property offers. Here are a few pics.

Saturday night consisted of a BBQ, a fire drum and of course some beverages with a few blokes I know from the area.

Stuie gets a bit hard to see in the dark, lucky he smiles a lot…..LOL

Sunday saw us take to the bush with a quad and a chainsaw to cut in a couple of new trails. Once that was done we hit the new trails to wear them in.

After a while we went and fooled around in the paddocks, hamming it up for the camera.

Another top weekend, riding with the kids, it is great to watch them gain in skill and confidence on every ride we do.

You’re just a bloody big kid yerself Michael, wtg bud, and the “peacie” is so so retro….love it that you’ve still got it inyou to muck around.

    Kids woulda had a ball to I daresay……. :P

It rained up here which cancelled our similar plans, I got dirty looks all weekend from me little mate.

    School hols next week…. ;)

Yeah, Connor said that peace wheelies are “so old school”. Trouble is that is the only trick I have in my repertoire

At least you’ve still got that left, think yourself lucky, last time i tried a “double peacie” over a small jump I didn’t land so well… and these days doing a decent mono takes so much concentration that I’d probably end up taking my hand off the throttle and crashing… again… :(

BRP looks like she’s going well, and you’ve got the big wheels back on Connors’ too by the looks of it.

Yeah the Pig is going well and so is the KX, I am so glad I got that Eric Gorr top end for it, the low down torque it has now makes riding it in the bush so much easier for Connor. The big wheels also help, as does the suspension work TEKNIKS did on it.It is one top little trail bike now.
