Seeing how I haven’t had much time on the bike, Dude and I though it would be good to go for a blap yesterday in preperation for the Coffs trip. All went good, bikes good and my shoulder coping ;) Found another nice snotty single track hill with plenty of rocks towards the top :woohoo:
Refueled at the Gap and off down to Bangalow. Track is starting to get overgrown with cursered lantana
Rode out the back of Bangalow and up the very rocky ridge with no problems but when it came to descending back to Bangalow I found myself going over the hangers yet again  De ja vu  Landed hard on my suspect shoulder but got up laughing  Dude helped with getting my bike up the right way and rode home with an extremely noisy exhaust. Don’t know what happened as it seemed to happen bloody quick. Only thing I can put it down to was too much front brake, have ridden down this goat track many times before.
On getting home noticed that rear tyre was scrubbing the muffeler so it was time to pull the rear end apart and do a bit of straightening ;)
On realigning the muffeler the sound has come back to an acceptable level
Left wrist is hurting and right shoulder a little painfull
Still keen for Coffs but might take it a little easier ;)
Ha, :woohoo: sure thats going to happen :woohoo:
Did about 75kms which is by no means a marrathon but having been off the bike for a few months felt like one.
    Sorry no pics
Shame the Dude didn’t have his helmet cam on, would of made for a nice bit of footage watching me going down :S
    Bring on Coffs :woohoo:
    Cheers

    Murph,

Good to here you’re coming good. I’ve been waiting for another murphsberg ride to be posted. No promises on making it as you are a long way from Narrabri but it sounds like we like the same sort of riding conditions and challenges. I am a little familiar with the area as I was born in Ballina, have/had grandparents in Ballina, Lismore and Byron Bay and we used to live at Numulgi. Unfortunately for me we left there before I was walking so haven’t had any riding over there yet. Anyway if you happen to have a ride planned with reasonable notice, and are desperate for a riding buddy I am willing to try and keep up.

    Murph,

Funny you say that. Was thinking when I read it that I thought you were in the central coast general area somewhere but when I saw Bangalow I put 2 and 2 together and got 5. Not unusual for me though! Anyway the good news is central coast is a lot easier for me to get to than north coast so hopefully I will make it over to ride with you coastal blokes one weekend next year.
