Hey everyone. Steve here from Adventure Moto. Happy to be part of this “elite”
group of old farts just like me. I am hoping to get out to Hampton next week for a real intro and you will see just how pathetic a rider I really am on trail. But still, my motto is “The guy having the most fun on the day is the best rider”.
Greg has hammered home that this is a sort of a club and as a member i want everyone to know that I can be contacted anytime with any query about gear or bike setup etc. I will endeavor to offer “OB” specials and group buys from time to time as well as regular discounts on our website http://www.adventuremoto.com.au .
I imagine I will meet and see more than a few of you guys on rides and hopefully a few are coming with us on the Tenere Tragics ride in march with Clubby from Trailzone and Russ (Lance) from offroadexplorer.com .
If you are wondering what I ride… Well I am lucky to have a few bikes in the shed but my trail bike is a WR250R and probably the ADV bike with the most Kays on it is the F800GS with an 18″ rear wheel setup. I have recently bought a new XT1200Z but it is currently being thrashed by the crew at Altrider in the US as they are using the bike as the project bike for their new range of Altrider gear and hardparts.
Cheers and thanks for having me.
Steve

January 12, 2011 at 1:17 pm #194540Welcome aboard Steve…it’s great to have Adventure Moto join the Old Bull Trailriders.
My best biggest and best purchase so far from Adventure Moto was The Great Basin Saddlebag by Giant Loop.
My partner gets nervous when she finds me looking at your website lol.
Regards Mick
January 12, 2011 at 7:14 pm #194545Hi Steve, welcome to OBT,
In my last 10 months of being an Old Bull I have managed to get on a few of the rides and I have never been disappointed , theirs always a good bunch of likeminded blokes to ride with and then have a beer and laugh with !!
I have just bought a Tenere which I was going to pick up this weekend, but due to the floods is looking unlikely, this will be my first Adventure bike as I normally look for trail riding first. But after this years OBT Cameron ride I found a new side to off road riding I really enjoy. It’s great having Adventuremoto on board offering discounts and setting up the Tenere is going to be even more fun and a little less expensive now!!
Hope to meet you on a ride soon !
Nick

StruckyJanuary 19, 2011 at 12:42 am #194543BUGGER… I cracked a rib while riding out of Araluen last weekend. Apparently I was out cold for a while and my mates were already divvying up the spoils
So I won’t be riding on Saturday but Andy and Glenn who I rode with on the weekend will and I will come up Saturday for a beer. I was looking forward to riding Hampton as well!

BUGGER, I know how much a cracked rib hurts, it will definately keep you off the bike but not the nest
