OK it’s that time of the year Mick’s Annual Birthday ride weekend. Firstly I am organising the web / Internerd side of the ride for Mick as he is flat out at work filling the editor’s job for the next 3 weeks. If you have a question
PM me and I will answer it thus leaving Mick to plan the three required loops, lunches etc. I have helped Mick with the last 2 of these rides so I know the ropes.
Traditionally the first day (Friday the 4th) is more of dual sport style ride, last year we went to Crescent Head pub. This year Fridays ride will see us do some tar, fire trails and singles all mixed in covering about 200km for the day. The proposed (not confirmed yet) Friday ride will see us head up through Comboyne out to Elands for fuel and then down into the Cells river area for some fun in the singles before we hit Gingers Creek for lunch and fuel. The afternoon hasn’t yet been finalised but it will be back to Wauchope in time for you to swap a tyre or do whatever before a tub and dinner. Dinner will be at the Wauchope RSL same as the previous 2 years. Again the bus will be arranged to pick people up from the farm stay around 6.30pm and drop you back after dinner.
Saturday is a ride dedicated to single trail around the Wauchope Area. There will be two loops like at Coffs Harbour, trails to be confirmed at this stage. The loops will start and finish from the farm stay so it’s suggested that you have fuel to fuel your bike at lunch. You will be able to have lunch, lube your chain fix your bike before your group swaps leaders and loops and you ride the afternoon. If you want to ride with a particular person PM me and I will put you in the same group otherwise I will draw the names for the groups out of a hat.
We will have lunch supplied for a small cost including drinks and a BBQ after the ride will be at the Farmstay. A small cost will be involved (around 20 bucks) and this isnt an option If you are too tight to fork out a couple of bucks towards the catering, best you stay home. Any excess money will be donated to the Charity Tuff
To make it fair to all involved if you want to go on the ride Mick and I have talked and you will have to log on and post you want to go. You can only nominate yourself, so if you know others that want to go get them to log on and yell out for themselves, no PMs just post your intention to attend and I will add you to the list. No non members and no booking spots for 4 other peeps. This ride will be capped at 40 at this stage, which will give us 20 a loop on Saturday
There is NO SUNDAY RIDE
However,the HVMCC has a motocros day on at their track if you are real keen.
