I am leaving Townsville via Torrens Creek and heading down to Cameron Corner on 10/04/11. Meeting a mate at Alpha and plan to spend 11 days touring around the bottom of the state. Riding a DR650 which I took to Cape York last year, running Mitas on the rear and a 606 on the front. Been doing this type of riding for 40 years now. Was wondering if anyone could give me any info on what to expect and where not to go. Being 60 now I still want to do this for at least another 10 years, had one knee replacement and will be getting another one next April. I also ride a much modified Transalp on some of the rides.

Any info will help, regards Oldfella [Ron]

Hi Ron, sounds like a great ride your planning there mate. If you get a chance the Bore track from Innaminka is a nice ride and really pretty country and well worth the effort, you will have to pay $10 at bollards lagoon but money well spent IMO. Riding the corner country area is all good and you will have a ball, have a beer at the corner for me and let us know how you go mate. B) Boulder. PS Bedourie has a good thermal pool thats great for the knees!!!
