The Indian seems to closely resemble the old Suzuki TS model range.

Yeah mate the old Indian is a 60’s something model. Unsure of the exact age though. It’s a 2 banger 4 speed with clutch. I’ve had it for about 20 years. A couple of my nephews learnt to ride on it when they were young and I used to ride it around with my boys until it packed it in about 5 years ago. It needs a full reco done to it.

The XR i brought of my mate who needed the cash. It’s was a bitter/sweet kinda deal as he really loved it and was sad to see it go.

Well now that I own it the dent probably will be on the way real soon. I’ve only had it a few weeks and gone on a couple of short rides and am loving the 4 stoke grunt. The novelty has’nt worn of yet as I have been crankin out wheelies all the time and steerin with the arse end. I feel like a kid again cause I have so much fun on it.

Keep an eye out as I am thinking of doing a Xr’s only ride sometime in the future. ;)

Will do mick. I had a xr600 about 15 years ago which had the same sorta feel but the 650 is like the updated new and improved version.:cheer:
This was a few years back. I was just givin the air filter a bit of time to dry out after riding through a pretty deep creek out Kurri Kurri way….cheers

Have you seen MXTV’s test of the DRZ250. Check the Fro’s lap time at the end, he was able to match the time of a Husaberg 390. Not bad for 7 grand trail bike.

Thanks for the video clip Scotty. I brought the drz250 form a guy I work with for my oldest son who turns 16 in April. It really suits his style of riding as he is a bit of a poker and just likes crusing along. :cheer: It’s got rego which I’m gunna keep. I was at first thinking of getting wr or crf or something like that but when this came up I checked it out and am really happy with it. It’s in real nice condition and the price was great also. My son loves it too. It’s got nice torque and handle trails really well. Watching the vid just adds a bit more to thinking that I got him a good bike. It’s costing me some coin though lately getting both boys sorted but I get such a buzz out of watching them enjoy riding.:cheer:
