    Hi,

Mick from Toowoomba, I have been around the Adventure and trail riding side of things for about 40 years. Originally from Grafton / Armidale and now live in Toowoomba. I have a few bikes, from Adventure to Vinduro and try and get out as often as I can.

G’day Mick and welcome to the site. We don’t have a lot of members in QLD but the numbers are starting to grow.

    Hi Oz
I live in Northern Nsw and since getting my Tenere have ventured closer to the qld border, their seems to be good riding to be had in this area.

Having grown up around Grafton, I know a lot of riding around there. North, west and south.

I am heading down through to Yuragir and the Coast range the week post Easter for a ride. I will be on my 650XC. Have you seen the Barcongere Man?

I haven’t seen the Barcongere Man oz , not even sure what it is ?
I mainly ride around Ashby , Lawrance , Tully Morgan area on the DRZ with a few excursions to Mullaway if I’m lucky enough to get on a ride with STM.

On the adventure riding side TB and myself did a top 2 day ride from Grafton on the old road to Glen Innes then up to Tenterfeild and the rocky river road to Drake, up to the Border ranges and back down to my place via Iismore and back of New Italy. It really gave me an insight into how good the adv riding is here.

The Barcongere Man is near Corindi on Yellow Cutting Road. If you have not seen it well worth it as the story that goes with it.

Intriguing Oz , I can find any info on the Barcongere Man but I’d like to here more ?
Their seem to be as many good adv fire trails as singletrack in this area so if your keen on a ride let me know !

    Cheers

The Trapeze wires in the trees are what gets me. Apparently he would get skin full and walk around the high wires. A mate’s father grey up at Halfway ck and new the story very well.
