Hi, I’m new to this site and I’m looking for people to ride sundays around the central coast area. I’m probably about a grade 2 or 3 rider but wanting to learn the area and increase my skills as a trail rider.
April 30, 2011 at 9:44 pm #200374G’day Sir Nick,
Welcome aboard. I bet your popular at Christmas  Hang on thats Saint Nick
I live in Ourimbah so always happy to go for a spin

There’s plenty of tracks in Ourimbah SF with easy or harder options, happy to show you what I know
(as limited as that may be)
I know another bloke who’s just getting back into dirt riding too so I’ll try and get something together

Adam.
May 1, 2011 at 12:06 am #200378Ourimbah has a few nice trails for sure, you must becareful where you venture off to though we were chased out of there once by shot gun weilding red necks who had apparently taken ownership of a firetrail?
have you ever ridden in behind the archery field and down into the valley or on the downhill mountain bikers tracks?do you find that there are alot of dead end trails in Ourimbah?
May 1, 2011 at 12:52 am #200375hot2trot,
I haven’t come across any rednecks on a ride as yet but I do know a few rednecks
I know a greenie that had a redneck point a gun at her once though  Still not sure which side of the fence it sit on that one
Actually it was quite serious with the police involved etc
Needless to say I do keep away from Toobys Crk Rd though
All the tracks lead to old log dumps and a couple of old snigging tracks, some go through the valleys and out the other side, but are getting overgrown, rutted, trees down etc and as half the State forest is now the Jilliby Conservation Area it gets no maintenance
The fourbies get in and chew it up a bit too
Never sure to go fast and loud of slow and quiet through the archery area  As its a field archery area I figure we make a good target  But I do read and obey the sign that says keep to the track
We keep off the mountain bike singles
they put in a lot of work and get the shits if motos use them, besides there’s plenty of singles elseware if you know where to look
When you get board with Ourimbah its just a hop skip and jump up to the Watagans anyway :woohoo:
Adam.
May 1, 2011 at 1:51 am #200376Wow, quick reply thanks fellas. Adam that’d be great you name the time and place (sundays are best for me but can work with saturdays just have to be extra nice to the missus lol) and i’ll be there. I’m going to louee mx park in june so it’ll be good to get my riding skills up to scratch before then. I have a mate who’s just learning as well he may be interested too.
CheersMay 1, 2011 at 12:46 pm #200393Welcome aboard Sir nick
Stay tuned as we will be doing plenty of rides in the Wato’s over the next few months.
We have two exceptional loops made up, “The Southend” and ‘The Basin Run” both have very technical stuff involved. Welcome anytime mate
Cheers
Murph the surfMay 2, 2011 at 2:16 am #200377Yeah would definately have to get out for a ride i’ll keep an eye on the forum and put my name down for one, maybe a not so technical one until i’ve got my bearings in the dirt.
