Hi everyone, it’s great to find a group who share a common interest! I’m Chris from over in the UK and greetings to all. I ride a 1985 XR250 which I rebuilt a while ago, http://www.xr250.co.uk

    Gday Chris,
Common interest? Bloody oath!! Go the XR!! Welcome to OBT!! :)
If the XR you rebuilt is the one in your avatar, it certainly looks the goods, post up a pic mate.

    Cheers

Hi Mick, thanks for the welcome! yeah the one in my avatar is mine, I put a lot of work and effort into her and still do! But I’m not one for making something pretty and then not use it; you can’t take ’em to the grave:) I ride the enduros over here (not to win of course) just to see the look on some of their faces when a 26 year old bike comes past them on their new KTMs:whistle:
There’s loads of info/pictures on my site Mick http://www.xr250.co.uk

This one below was me in May this year at an enduro.

Great Pic!!! I too, also know the almost perverse satisfaction you receive from over taking someone, on their gun enduro machine when you are in fact on an “old Trailbike”.
Doesn’t happen all that often for me but when it does……… :woohoo:

Hi Chris , it’s good to welcome a fellow pommie to the site !!
I’ve been in oz for over 13 years now and this place has turned me into an absolute obsessive dirt rider.
I highly recommend a trip over the pond mate and you can be sure their will be heaps of old bulls keen to show off the ozzy trails !! ;)

Welcome Chris, my first enduro race bike was a XR250 RE yup and twin carb model 85 as well I think. I promised myself a few years ago I will do one up to original condition in years to come and take on some OBT rides to kick some euro trash arse :)

It looks awesome a real credit to you
