Nearly 2 years ago now Chris and I sat in his office one Saturday night finishing of the Bundy cans looking for a way to stir up Chicken aka Brett.
From that basically grew this site, Old Bull Trailriders but everyone knows the story I guess.

Recently its required a lot more work than it should and many hours spent on the site doing things that have lately been pretty challenging really and it has required some soul searching. Unfortunately we can no longer please everybody but our size dictates that now, although we do try and wish to remain a big site with a little feel. Friendships forged are the reason we stay, the rides the mate ship. We now have a terrific support network in place and everybody helps somebody, we have moved wheels across the country, delivered boat engines intrastate, given advice, made bits and pieces, shared parts, repaired wheels and got bikes moving again to help fellow Old Bulls and friends. We fish and stir but really deep down we are here as brothers and sisters together with one thing in common.

Thanks to Chris for his after-hours tech based work that makes it all come together, thanks to the Admin team including our new trainee moderator. I have always said running this is not a perfect science and it involves so much people don’t realise and don’t need to but the whole admin team tries for everyone here they are all great people.

We now have access to great sponsors, their expertise and products which will continue to grow with time and your support. Lets grow our sport where possible but most importantly lets enjoy it.

WOW TB 10000 posts you must spend alot of your spare time helping and comunicating with all these bike nuts your mrs must be very patient with you being on the computer all the time :ohmy: :woohoo: :silly: :laugh: oh yeah keep up the good work TB this site is the best by far

Nice effort with the posts TB,

Also would like to say a great effort by the Admin team for all the work that goes on behind the scenes. Most of my riding over the last year has been with OBT.

I would also like to say to all the other people that put in the effort required to keep this site going, that so far my envolvement with this site, as an average joe rider has been nothing but fun.

Congratulations and Good work TB, I know first hand the work and passion that you put into OBT. Without that passion the site wouldn’t be what it is.
Being one of the first members, it has pleased me no end, to see it go from just a handful of members to what it is today. I remember the days when I would be online and think “I wish someone would post something”, now it has gotten to the stage where at times I have trouble keeping up with all the posts!!! :huh:
Although the counter indicates that you have done 10,000 posts, it doesn’t point out that you would have done nearly as many PM’s answering members questions behind the scenes or the phone calls from punters needing advise on everything from engine rebuilds to marriage counceling.

Then there are the things I have seen you do for people with minimal thanks required, like rebuilding a wheel for a bloke you have never met, or running down to Sutto’s to pick up a part or tyre for someone, that is to name just a few, If I sat here and thought about the good things you do, that most of the members dont see, the list would go on much longer.

I have also witnessed the grief that running this site and trying to please the masses can cause, I have seen you at the brink of throwing your hands in the air and walking away, that also goes for me. What stops us from doing that is,we know how much work has gone into building OBT and like it or not it is a part of our lives now. We are too far down the track to turn back and we have to keep going now,no matter how steep and rocky the next hill is.

In finishing I would like to personally thank you for the things you have done for me and the friendship that has been extended to me and my family over the last 18 months, although at times I will admit I could throttle you. :laugh:

Thanks mate the last 18 months have been one hell of a ride.

Congrats TB, 10’000 posts on any forum is a massive effort, I’ll have to do some calculations and work out how many that is per day, don’t forget that 10’000 doesn’t include pm’s I reckon there would be 5000 of those as well. Keep up the good work.

I aint gonna go on with all the other stuff, as yo hae been thanked before by the other blokes etc etc
