TB’s 1000th Post
Well post number 1000, I hadn’t noticed until Moto and Mick said go on do it you’re on 999 and that started me thinking.
What a roller coaster ride this has been since June 2008. Chris and I sitting in his office one Saturday night finishing of the Bundy cans looking for a way to stir up Chicken aka Brett.
From that basically grew this site, Old Bull Trailriders came from that. There has been times when its required a lot more work than I thought it should and many hours spent on the site doing stuff but when you get out and meet the fantastic like mined people that are on the site its so worth everything that goes on behind the screen.
Thanks to Chris for his after-hours tech based work that makes it all come together, its a shame he cant get out more and get to the rides to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
Thanks to Mick for his being there to keep it ticking over and thanks to everybody that contributes to the site in their own way and makes this site help us all do what we enjoy so much! And Moto.
Watch the next 1000 + posts from us all as we go from strength to strength.
Cheers TB

AnonymousWell I’d just like to dedicate my 474th post and say well done boys and good onya for all the hard work.
I’d also like to say that there shouldn’t be a ‘th’ after the 1000 on the second line of your post TB. It may be a profound statement but that doesn’t excuse bad spelling

October 15, 2008 at 4:28 am #109469Well done mate, it seems like years ago when I made my first tentative post on this new website with only 13 members. It has been quite a ride to say the least, little did I know when I said my first g’day on OBT, my work productivity would drop by more than half!!
It has helped me meet a heap of great guys and get to know some blokes I still haven’t met, as well as go on a couple of very memorable rides, such is the power of the internet.
The site has provided me with some funny moments that have even made me let out a loud guffaw or two in the office.
Well done to both TB and Chris for the forsight in starting this site, I know how much work goes on behind the scenes and I look forward to seeing your work pay off with the site growing from strength to strength.October 15, 2008 at 4:43 am #109472Cheers Mick, the quality of people I have meet and spoken with on the site is amazing, the rides we have done have been terrific and we will go from strength to strength, the Christmas Party should be a good catch up as most people should be, we hope at least able to get there for awhile if not the whole weekend. Next years rides and get togethers will be even better.
Cheers again
TB

Noticed Mick is also in the 900’s and the amount of dribble that Moto goes on with he should also be there pretty soon.
This concept is awsome it has enabled me to go on a heap more rides and meet some great guys also,it takes a lot of work to keep these sites up and running and you should be congratulated

AnonymousThere was nothing special about it mate. I’ll do a nice post for my 1000th when I get there next week
October 16, 2008 at 11:44 am #109517Yep top effort TB and all those that have contributed, special mention to Mick (prestigious North Coast Moderator), MOTO, Ollie, Tiny for your contributions. I never realised how much maintenance a site like this required and now know how it can quickly become a full time job, usually I do a site, hand it over and thats where it ends. There’s lots that goes on in the background that you guys don’t see, a tweek here and there, server backups, database maintenance etc.. It’s been great watching this site grow and I’m sure it will grow enormously GOD help me. Running a full time business and a family is straining at the best of times but hopefully it will ease off a bit and I’ll be able to dedicate a bit more time to the site and contribute a bit more, there is after all only 24hours a day and working 16 hours of those + trying to fit in your passions is difficult. I need to make time to expose the squirrel although I have my suspicions I can’t prove anything yet, however MOTO may be able to as he seems to be getting quite close to the squirrel, I even heard the squirrel was hoping to move in with MOTO when he finds a new pad.. Anyway thanks again to those that have contributed and we have had lots of good feedback so keep it coming and tell everyone you meet out on the trails to join the OLD Bulls.
Cheers
Chris.
