Knowing how hard it is to get bikes into the country, you need the paper work matching every bike, one wrong VIN number will hold your shipment up for weeks,it would amaze me that you could ship them out of the country, without the paper work being in order. You would really need someone on the “inside” at customs to get them through.
I know at the docks in Japan they were very meticulous with checking the paperwork and VINS and the same here at customs.September 15, 2009 at 11:22 pm #152941Insurance will cover it, but can you imagine next years premiums and excess
Also you will see the ex Joel Smits race bike nothing will replace that
I only ask as they support us (OBT members) and they do, please support them

September 16, 2009 at 12:21 am #152942Just a reminder as to what this thread is about
As you would all know Sutto’s at Penrith is one of the biggest supporters of Old Bulls, Chris, and his fantastic team are always there helping, supporting our bulk purchase deals, supply prizes and giving a substantial discount to all members.
Well Sutto’s has been broken into again, this is the 2nd time in 3 weeks and they have had 11 bikes stolen in the two break ins. The security they have is first class and the lengths the scum have gone to is beyond comprehension.
We has a biking community can help by keeping an eye out and an ear to the ground, its not hard when you can imagine what it would be like to have your own pride and joy stolen. All the bigger bikes had the CDI’s removed and the scum or the people that buy these bikes will be after one. The bikes stolen are listed below, the 6 digit number is the last 6 of the VIN number.
Mini SX 50 2009 048861
SXF 250 2010 129454
Mini SX 50 2009 048883
690 Enduro R 2009 727390
Mini SX 65 2009 051355
690 Enduro R 2009 727388
Mini SX 65 2009 051369
690 Enduro R 2009 726246
Mini SX 85 2009 047311
1999 FC Husaberg EX Joel Smets race bike
Mini SX 85 2009 047282
They also had heap of helmets stolen
Sutto’s is a family business that has one hell of a family feel when you go in or ring there as a customer please keep your ear to the ground. Should you hear or notice anything, please contact Daniel or Chris on (02) 47311173

September 16, 2009 at 12:51 am #152952It probably a moot point now since the police would already be notified but perhaps Mal or Chris should contact the RTA to make sure the VIN numbers have been flagged as stolen on the RTA system.
You never know, something might turn up.September 16, 2009 at 8:54 am #152980R&D Husky at Emu Plains is the latest to be hit but this time the grubs didn’t get away. Last night the group rammed the rear door and removed 7 bikes. This set off the alarm and luckily the owners of the shop were there within minutes and saw the vehicles leaving the driveway and alerted police. The police got in a pursuit with the vehicle, finally stopping it over near Fairfield.
All bikes recovered though one fell off the trailer during the pursuit. Hopefully this will lead police to Sutto’s bike’s and any others that have been stolen.

I love starting the day with a feel good story!! Lets hope the court system sorts them out the way it should and the mongrels don’t walk free with a slap on the wrist.
September 16, 2009 at 10:50 pm #153130Good stuff, maybe some of them will give up their slimey cohorts and the whole damn ring can do a little lifestyle thinking in a big house, usually the courts are fairly heavy on organised theft, it’s manslaughter/ unpremeditated murder and bashings they get all soft on.
Owners musta been on the ball and the police as well.
