Yesterday arvo I came home to find a 1340cc compressor sitting on my back lawn. MY brother inlaw has left his Harley dyna low rider at my place and was silly enough to leave the keys in it!!! So I couldn’t help myself and quickly got out of my work cloths and donned something more suitable for riding a Harley. You know, image and all. So dressed in a t shirt, shorts and a pair of work boots with no socks, I threw my MX helmet(still covered in mud from the weekend) on and hit the road. It has been quite some time since I have ridden a Harley (20 years) and it took me a while to get used to having forward controls but I soon warmed to it. I cruised around the area on it, generally making a racquete with the obnoxious noise that it makes, with its straight through pipes.I even dropped my daughter off at Physie on it too which raised an eyebrow or two from the group of mothers gathered out the front.
Apparently I went against all Harley protocol, as I snubbed other Harley riders and only waved to Jappers who obviously didn’t know what to think.
The bit that I am embarrassed about though, is I have to admit I actually enjoyed riding the big noisy, vibrating, crap handling thing and I am looking forward to knocking off work this arvo and repeating yesterdays shananigans!!
It could do with a carbyectamy though as it backfires a bit on decel and it has a blown fork seal, that is why the BIL has left it at my place

Of course you enjoyed all of the above Mick as you are used to big noisy, vibrating, crap handling bike as you own an XR 650. (Sorry m8 but you left yourself wide open for that one).

That’s alright Fester,I REALLY enjoy riding my big noisy, vibrating, crap handling XR and I am pretty sure even with those handicaps it would still round up you on that BMXer WR of yours.

And the bonus of owning A harley, is next time it floods or there’s a bushfire threat, it doubles as a waterpump.

Actually if it has two wheel and an engine it’s still a step up from a mobile coffin….

Is that a Heritage or a wide glide?? Look, one ride on a Harley in 20 years and I think I am an expert.LOL
There is a lot of elbow grease keeping that sucker shining like it does!! You would be horrified if you saw the state of the Low rider, as the brother in law lives on a dirt road and he rides it like a flat tracker.
