I have been looking at the Facebook page for this event and apparently you can’t enter until nearly the last minute and for a iron man entry its $285! Are they trying to kill this event?

Nato,

We did last years 12 hour and yes it does sell out very quickly.

We did teams of pairs last year,and it is tough going unless your fitness is very good.

The track chops up alot and some advice i would do a Team of 4.

Get there before the front gate opens,otherwise you will be down the back.

All up a great event with a good atmosphere, you will definetly need your A Game to last 12 hours.

Hydrate alot the week leading up to the event,and also Magnesium tablets help to stop cramping.

I am not going to enter its a bit of a hike from rockhampton I just thought they were asking a bit much of people with the price and details of when you can get a spot. Makes it hard to plan ahead.

WE were in the same boat coming from Mackay and Tieri and once they ditched the pairs team , it was a long way to go for 3 hours ride and they also left it right to the last minute, plus side of not going we are going to the Emupark trail ride on the same weekend

I would have loved to have a stab at the 12hr, ironman style. But poor organisation ( on both ends ) won’t see it happen this year.
The entry price is a fair blow. But I guess it’s a way of only attracting serious riders.

Would have been in the ride down at emu park but in new that weekend anyway. Have to catch up sometime.

If any of you get the chance to do this event… DO IT…… Nickj asked me last year if id like to do this event with STM,Nickj,chris t……

The road trip was one of the beat things ive ever done….i had the best time with these 2 blokes and will never forget it…… even tho i was in the space cab and they took the piss out of me down and back……. :laugh: :laugh: ..LC4 held us a camp spot……. legend. with marty 450. mick, galey all in one area… great atmosphere……..

There were oldbulls everywhere…… :woohoo: :woohoo: …..
ILL never forget this event for the rest of my life…great blokes,,,, great event….great fun..

PLUS we had a great result…….
