If you could give me an idea of the route prior to coming down I have had success loading some from the software on my pc (it takes a bit of time but It worked well to Sunny Corner for example)

I will bring the Garmin, it is a good backup as far as accuracy, just a bitch to see on the move

    Cheers

Having done a bit of work on the route this weekend I can recommend the below places for your saturday night. Total route distance is about 850 ish kilometres give or take. Last minute adjustments the day before will change that a little. Anyone wanting the route before hand its not going to happen because I need to do a section on thursday night and will only get it onto the computer friday before I leave for St Albans.
There is one hard option and one easy I will explain when I load your GPS

Some overnight options you may want to think about unless you are camping in which case you can stay were ever you want

1/ O’Connell Pub about 300kms from the startContact details

2/ Rockley Pub about 340kms from the start

    Contact details

3/ Bathurst about 375kms from the start

    Knickerbocker Hotel

    Kelso Pub

    Kings On George

4/ Hillend about 450kms from the start

    Some ideas and contact details

    Hillend pub

    Hillend accommodation ideas

I will also put this in the first post

Hey Eags and Kfish, I was thinking about leaving from work at 3 on Friday arvo and heading through the wattigans and down through the common and into the pub for a beer. Ace might want to meet us a bucketty, I think he will have his pillion pal ChrisADV.
Kfish, I’m pretty sure the trails your thinking of we will do on the Sunday.

What time were you thinking of leaving Eags ?

    SOUNDS OK TO ME ;)
Ace met me at the Martinsville turnoff last time for the early mornin`Watagans wallaby kill ride in the dark
I think it was quicker for him to get there than Bucketty actually,,,,

I am easy, as long as I get to Wisemans & back to St Albans fuelled up before dark :)

I am making no plans for the sat night stay,,,,

Just gonna stop where I get too,,,,

Will be nowhere near TB though I reckon
He is on a mission I think, will be long gone and probably home about 5 or 6 hours before me 😆

Anyone got a garmin I can borrow that I will be able to read on the fly ???? I just might be solo a lot of the time ……………..

Some good points there Eagle ;)

I am making no plans for saturday night either that’s why I have found so many Saturday night options. It’s not an organised ride you are taking a route to do your own thing however you want.

I do have an agender I am working towards in view of two rides after this one but that’s just me :) I reckon for safety reasons best if everyone pairs up or three ;) . I am pairing with PTW because we are do the biggest day, because we can share tools and spares being on the same bikes and it worked with Jacko. Waiting to see if Dejay gets a leave pass
Pairing or small groups also works well for dust and helps keep you on the move and if you plan to make Bathirst and beyond you will need to be consistent all day I reckon read not fast just consistent.

I will probably camp at St Albans pub Sunday night for my social night  :silly:

    Regarding the Garmin maybe Eags

Camp where we end up is a good plan I recon.

Pairing up sounds like a good way to go too, it will relieve the pressure of having to keep pace with others or feeling bad cause you have a flat and your holding everyone up.

I guess we can all have a chat on the Friday night and workout a common goal of where we all want to end up and then see if we all end up on matching bar stools

The nav part of all this is a good idea i think, it means we dont have to have a lead or a sweep and we can do as we please, it means I’m only pissing off TB with my random stops :P  .
