October 23, 2012 at 10:42 pm #231238I’m starting to get excited about this ride :woohoo:
Me, Strucky, Moose and Toes are planning to ride together I think.
I’m camping friday night at St Albans and I think Strucky has booked us a room on Saturday night.
All I have to do now is work out how to turn on my GPS unit.
Could be a long night for you on the Friday TB  :pinch:

October 23, 2012 at 11:42 pm #231303Probably needs batteries GF
Speaking of batteries if you havent got your GPS hard wired which I recommend you should use lithium batteries in your GPS and for that matter your spot tracker

October 24, 2012 at 12:01 am #231304Speaking of hard wiring the GPS, I bought the cable the other week and there are 2 wires for data in and out.
What are they meant to connect to?October 24, 2012 at 12:29 am #231307Jeffro wrote:Speaking of hard wiring the GPS, I bought the cable the other week and there are 2 wires for data in and out.

October 24, 2012 at 2:58 am #231308I am writing a route running sheet at the moment for the ride. I will do a copy for all riding and also provide each rider with a free weather proof route sheet / map protector. The idea is there is some extra detail for some of the trickier navigation turns.
Sample
TR Bells Line Rd & ZERO TRIP METER1.3kms TR Zig Zag Railway entrance
TR again watch trip meter
7.4 kms follow line into single trail on left
Exit single VR then VL follow line parallel to DR on right
Up hill careful to DR
TR state mine gully Rd
TL Old Bells Line Rd
Follow line onto Black Fellows hand trail
There is a key to the abbreviations with the route

I think he has a 60CSX or 62 from memory ???
Should be a simple hook up to positive & negative, inline fuse ,,,,October 24, 2012 at 4:12 am #230119Running sheet looks like a good idea mate
Some of my favourite areas mentions there already, so it is sure to be awsomeCan I have Lefty calling the points over the Bluetooth like a Rally Co Driver  I reckon he would be good at it
Coral Taylor was prety damn good and she probably taught the Left One a few tricks ,,,October 24, 2012 at 4:30 am #230120Had a call from Strucky today,,,
He was keen to get the Wauchopians organised (god knows they need it)
They now have pretty much all day to find their way to Edgeworth Maccas for 3pm meet time,,,
There are ample fuel opportunities just down the road from Maccas and they can refresh with a cool drink before the last dirt leg to St Albans.Strucky has also been instructed to keep them OUT OF THE PUB, otherwise we will never get them back on the road 😆 😆 😆
Pete & I will meet them there around 3.15 , then head south to pick up ACE at MT FALK RD then it`s game on :woohoo:
Think we will head thru St Albans to Wisemans to fuel up the bikes before settling in as well, fresh start on full tanks Sat morning thenWelcome to join us of course Jeffro (of course) if you are free for that time mate

Should be a simple hook up to positive & negative, inline fuse ,,,,A 60 runs a whole different power plug (water proof) and a mini USB for the data transfer in and out. A 62 has a mini USB for charging and data transfer.
Best if we find out what GPS and what the cables are and ends they haveTB

I have the garmin 60CSx. The power and earth are fine and include an inline fuse, just not sure what to do with the other 2. I assume they may be for an optional external arial but wanted see what anyone else thought

Is there a pub there?do they have camping
toesOctober 24, 2012 at 9:09 am #231330A pub where Toes?
Eagle if you fuel at Freemans and meet the Wauchope clan there and they fuel as well everyone will be able to get to St Albans then onto the first fuel stop saturdayno worries. Saves 50kms round trip and two ferry crossings when I can be loading GPSs and them drinking beer  also everyone has a 300km range don’t they, could be a long push later if they don’t
