February 5, 2009 at 7:00 am #116970OK back on Topic who is interested?
Format is Wednesday arrive and get setup where we are camping and a blast up the pine forest in the tight, tight single trail
Thursday Into watch the start and get some photos and go and see a couple of special tests and a run out to maybe Hillend pub for lunch and back through Roothog crossing and back to watch the work period.
Friday and Saturday much the same sort of thing, wont be going to Hillend but, we will ride some of the best single trail you will ever see as I am sure Moto will agree? and watch some of Australia’s best
Sunday watch the work period and go out the the motocross final and check that out for most of the day and then go home

Haven’t been to the ST pub for years TB, but I think it is still pretty good.
Woúldn’t be too interested in the long rides myself though… my leg is still toasty from the last one! (Peeling at the moment, where it isn’t blistered!) I’ll do the backup vehicle instead, provided there is a bikini-clad babe to keep me company.

Why does you bike set fire to your leg ECKS, that cant be right? Hey we wont be going to ST now, it will all be pretty local exept one day Hillend for lunch and that by the time we get through the pine forests out the back of Mullion Creek wont be that bigger stretch.

Damn fine question TB, never heard of it anywhere before, but it sure as hell burnt me. It was a hot day both days but I wouldn’t have thought it hot enough to burn human flesh, even with the heat coming off the radiators.
I think I mentioned that maybe I had it a bit lean and possibly that caused it to run a bit hot? Otherwise my best guess is that because of the airflow the hot air was channeled on to my legs for long periods of time. It was a very slow thing, at Hill End I noticed it but only as a bit of what I thought was heat rash. I figure the best way to avoid it in future is to stay away from long road miles in hot weather.
I’ll make the call on Hill End closer to the date.
Speaking of dates, when is the Condo 750 this year? Is it like the following weekend or something?

AnonymousYeah TB that single track in the pine forest out the back of your folks place was pretty damn good. Smooth and flowy, just the way I like it
I was thinling of maybe coming up on the Thursday but after you mentioing the shiny bikes and all that I’m going to have to come up on Wednesday too.
ECKS – I don’t think it’s because your bike is lean. I boiled the Kato a couple of times the engin ehas been that hot and not even had a peep of heat rash/burn like you did. It certainly is strange?
Nice to see you’re going to make it Gili
