I’m not convinced that the Berg’s are any better than a KTM (I don’t think much of KTM’s).Quote:TrailbossQuote:Well it’s still is a 450 4 stroke and will feel that way when you pick it up.

You two have a lot of learning to do to step up to the Pumpkins , it has been noted by the Gods and a memo has been sent to the corresponding poeple , beware of breakdowns, they are a coming….(says he who has broken both)
You Guy are just jealousJealous of what, the extra cost in buying it? Nah not that is having the best suspension components that 90% of bunters can’t setup or would know the difference? Nah not that Oh oh maybe it’s the hydraulic clutch I have to have because, well because everybody else has one yeah that’s it isn’t it? Nah I replace my $12 clutch perch cheaper that $300 odd KTM hydraulic one when it breaks and they do break, can’t pull a lubed and serviced cable clutch in all day, DON’T RIDE BIKES.
Maybe is how cheap the parts are, well they are dearer! Could it be how easy they are to get, how’s that fuel tank coming along now Moto, been two weeks or is it three now!Be like a sheep ride a KTM that’s my spray I am going to swim laps at the pool now.
See ya and if you own a KTM wouldn’t want to be ya
PS Before you tear into me I owned KTM’s I have raced and owned them
Cheers

AnonymousI don’t think complaing about a Hydaulic clutch with lighter and smoother operation can be baulked at. That’s like saying you won’t buy modern technology beacuse it’s more expensive. Will you never ever buy a fuel injected bike because you can buy a carbie cheaper than a ECU.
If cheap cost of purhcase and cheap parts with old technology was the main criteria behind buying a bike why didn’t you buy one of those Chinese ones?
You are right about the delivery of the tank though. That is getting ridiculous. However, I’m sure there have been instances with every other manufacturer where someone can post about bad service or long part delivery. It’s not like it’s a brake lever.
If everyone had a Honda in the bush would you be calling them sheep, or would you be saying it’s obviously because they are superior bike?
Interestingly the sales figures for 2007 suggest that more people buy Honda and Yamaha. See here. So if you have one these bikes you are, in fact, a sheep.

AnonymousAre you upset with me? Will I have to go to bed without supper tonight?
October 27, 2008 at 5:39 am #110586Do you just own a normal old phone that does the job just fine, you really don’t need anymore technical gadgets to make a phone call, it does the job, no faster, cheaper and has done it fine for along time. Theres more to go wrong while they sort it out.
As far as your fuel injected bike goes one piece of crud stops that bike same as a carb model, know what the difference is out the bush as dark rolls in?Carb you can fix easy, now I know that fuel injection is the way to go and all the reasons why, I am a mechanic but while I am ripping into moto thats my case so do get into about that.
As far as the KTM rear suspension goes why are they going to a rear setup cpopied from Honda next year
TB PS leave me alone :woohoo:

Anonymousit is very painful watching tb make the same mistake over and over again. therefore, micknmeld, please change your avatar
i originaly had a big essay that would have ended this discussion. i deleted it (except for the last line). what would this site be like if we all agreed. or all liked the same bikes.
it would be a big bull love-in. ewwwOctober 27, 2008 at 6:03 am #110591champo35 wrote:

AnonymousNo I have a late model with the new gadgets because that’s what I like. I wasn’t the one bagging new technology (hydraulic clutch) for old. the only thing you can fix in the bush on a carbied bike are the bits that aren’t there on a fuel injected one. If you have a major ECU fail, you’re in trouble, if you snap your carbie in half you’re in trouble.
PS – Leave me alone too

October 27, 2008 at 10:13 pm #110600December 12, 2008 at 12:09 pm #108560There is a Force outlet in S.oz, I’m led to believe they can supply ALL parts for Husaberg. So it’s only a matter of shipping then. As with all bikes in this land, our parts come from overseas. So technically speaking, if shipping fails, we have no parts?I hear there is also a force/husaberg dealer opening around the brisvegas area as well. Brother inlaw has a Husaberg…501..04 I think. I find the riding pos. to be low in the saddle..kinda Tucked up feeling ?? Got some Good grunt though and is light as.

AnonymousHusky, the new Bergs are nothing like last years model and literally have eveything changed. The new Berg uses 70% KTM parts, so with the exception of breakable things like plastics, all the normal stuff will be off the shelf from any KTM dealer
