i thought you were rooting for ‘benny’? something about benny kicking honda’s butt?

Where did I say that Champo??

No no reread, going for Benny first support him no matter what he rides. After that if a Honda wins happy days, happiest days were when Benny won on a Honda :) But never said kick Honda’s butt why would I say that, being that I am a Honda man. Two separate things :P

      :P  :) :( :woohoo:

Doesnt it say I think Ben will win, go Ben, but also go Honda I guess you can take whatever you want out of it :P

Honda still won, and I still wonder why Ben was forced to ride on a rim, why no tube or couldnt it be fitted or whatever

Gotta say, I also took your quote “Benny is going to kick their butt” as Benny is going to kick HONDA’s butt.

Hey you lot! I’m back! Bloody hell, what a trip! We actually arrived back in Wello at 1:30am Tuesday morning after two huge days drive.

The event was a cracker! Some highlights for mine were:

A comment from DRZ rider Anthony Bakker #66 after Stage 1 on Day 5: “Yeah, I had a crash in there hey! Don’t remember anything, but I woke up wandering around in the scrub with Annie Seel asking me if I was all right! I cleared a heap of scrub and bent the bike, but I’m OK!”

Comment from Ben Grabham at evening meal at Leonora: “Yeah I had an alright day, just cruising around!”

Comment from rider #22 from South Africa about one of the teams who was fixing then testing bikes at all hours of the night at Laverton: “Fokking borsteds! I should go and stort my bike in front of their tent now!”

Comment from Dave after prologue: “Eric, you need to replace my brakes – they don’t work!” (When riding on pea-gravel in WA, no brakes work!)

A comment from Annie Seel after the 250km selective on Day 6 when a stick went through her boot and into her leg: “Oh the pain is not so good you know, but I’m still going!” Tough competitor that one!!

I have a truckload of piccies uploading now, so sorry, you’ll have to wait a bit longer!

Thanks for your support – Dave really appreciated the good wishes and it was nice to hear your perspective on things.

Keep your eyes on TBAM, I think they might run my story in one of the next editions.

Good to see you and Dave made it back. Top good all round. You lucky bastards. I bet your itching to get out for a ride, I struggle watching others ride.

I bet TB’s question has somthing to do with Benny’s not having a spare tube. Let it go TB, there’s always next year.

Apparently the Ben Grabham thing is to do with running Dunlop Rally Raids according to Derek from GHR. The rally raids are apparently hard in the sidewalls and when they get a flat they split along the middle and fall apart, destroying the rim in the process. Could all be BS as it came from a rival team, but that’s what I was told.

I know a lot of blokes who ran mousse rears and cooked the tyre so that a tube would not work. It splits the inside of the tyre. Mark McConnell on 68 was one of those blokes.

Damn it is slow to upload piccies.. I am up to 34 of nearly 800….

Not what I heard from a very reliable industry source, and this sounds worse but I have been sworn to keep it a secret, didnt even tell Crash and he was with me when I was talking to the industry source. But it could be that couldnt it
Doesnt matter like Scott said :P
