All right the riding year is drawing to a close and I am just thinking about all the rides I have done and man I have done some miles in the last 12 months.
Best ride doesnt have to be the best organised or best run etc, it could be the one that you just rode the best. You could have a great night at the overnight stay if it had one, maybe you just found a kick start, or kicked Ollie’s arse  ( oh wait everyone does that every ride
)
So what are your thoughts?

AnonymousI had to think about this a little bit because I went on a heap of great rides this year but my absolute favourite ride was the 450km day that I did.
There was a lot of mental preparation involved for this ride and after we started I knew that there was option but to get to Colo Heights and back that day. I really had a fantastic time on this ride.
I absolutely loved feeling buggered by the time I pulled in the driveway at home. My arms burned so much it was agonising but yet it felt so great. Maybe it was the achievement of it that felt great.
A large portion of the ride was through the deepest sand that you could ever imagine but by the time that I had ridden through it twice I had it all down pat.
I would love to do that ride again one day.
Great thread TB.

AnonymousMy best ride this year.
Man I have been on so many good rides this year.
Any ride with TB up the front is a good one
But my most stand out one the turning point of my riding would have to be the Old Bulls Longest Weekend Out. It was the pinnicle ride of the year. It had everything and it just kept coming.
I could go on and on with all the other good rides but my vote is definately for the one above.
November 25, 2009 at 9:43 am #162745For me one of the best was the Biggest weekend ever, it had everything as the report and pictures show ask anyone that rode it
There was the Christmas Party in ride in the watagans in November last year on the satI lead that was gold.
The Orange recce ride that Dan and I did last month was so good two mates going full tilt with no stops

Thanks Boony! I know that you were specifically referring to me when you wrote that.
This was a good ride for me too (except for the bit when you rode over me – so funny  )

AnonymousI want to add another ride that I have done this year.
It was the Orange recce ride. TB and me fair peddled that day. We had a great day. We had a lot of laughs along the way over the blue tooth. Like when we were sooting along the Bridle Trail at full noise at around 7.30 in the morning. All the campers along the way were getting out of bed to the sound 2 four strokes belting along the track making 4 stroke music. Every time we went past the camping areas we said to each other “Hows the serenity”
The 450km day that Kylie mentioned was another good one – it was the first big ride that I had led. I only got misplaced once, but no one really knew at the time – I think
November 25, 2009 at 10:17 am #162763Ride from Bills in the slop fest, man that was awsome about 30 bikes flat knacker all day. So slippery on some hills you couldnt stand up. Hit the Piss at night and laugh so much it hurt  Having my brother there riding with me was a memory I will never forget
The recent two dayer at Dungog for the NSW enduro series was bloody fantastic as well, only problem was the dust and wind
Ollie
November 25, 2009 at 10:27 am #162747Vic high country snow ride!
the only one i went on
and was winged before lunch time on Saturday and could not take full advantage of enjoyment that could have been had on the afternoons ride.
but hey i have a hill clime section (XY hill ) and an escape route (XY pass) named after me so my handle will live on in OBT realms for EVER!!! cue evil laugh :woohoo:
 .
but i still enjoyed every minute of it. even holding up the other riders as i “rode” every erosion mound like a granny on my first day of riding ever.
THANKS OBT
wouldn’t have had the pleasure of meeting so many top blokes all in one weekend
if it was not for this site!
