Mal5.1 and Medogrocket the local gurus will be scouting out a couple of decent hill climbs for our king of the hill award.

How about 2 Steps or even worse 3 Steps? No one will get up 3 steps!!

Don’t know about us being local gurus….

2 Steps would be to easy unless we have time trials up it. :)

You’re correct with 3 steps, I doubt anyone could ride up it cleanly.

There is also the Runaway Dozer Hill and Ski Run in the area to consider too. :)

Have you tried getting up 3 steps KTM_Rules? I rode down it and it scared the crap out of me. :(

To the party mate. I might leave the 3 steps alone. Too many memories of the local hospitals for me :S

You are a Guru in my eyes Mal  We need a meeting Mal and Medogrocket over a counter meal to sort the details out I reckon ;)

Kram I am glad you bought it up regarding prize (I know you were joking :P ) We are reviewing prizes at the Christmas Party, there will be a major award given out and maybe some smaller prizes for the hill climb and the consistany time trails but thats it from OBT. Our major prize giveaway event will be the annual birthday ride every May (Caves to Caves 1st birthday, Sofala 2nd Birthday)

After a serious grass track session the other day, Medogrocket and I had an impromptu informal meeting over a few beers and some Erzberg DVDs for inspiration and we’ve thought of some more hills and tracks in the area. We’ll try and slip out at some stage soon and have a go on them.

You’ve done it again, gone and picked the same weekend as the Country Surveyors Conference. Nice work.

At least this year I’ll be in Ballina! :woohoo:

I’ll think of you lot while listening to lectures on coastal development and the implications of global warming on the cadastre… Oh crap.

    Have fun!

Sounds pretty good guys, I’ve not had an official OBT ride as yet, is there some sort of classification for the ride? I believe that 1-2 are relatively ‘easy’. I was planning on heading out that way on 16/17 Oct, but now might try and delay it. Is there any more info on where camp is based?

    Cheers,
    Action
