and just to add a bit of chaos, i bruised the bone in my left heal too.
i dont need surgury as they are all in the fat bit of the spine, around where the ribs join
i have just got out of hospital. it has been the most uncomfortable 30 hours of my life.
so unfortunately, i cant ride the kenda…

May 16, 2010 at 10:09 am #179311me and another guy were screwing lid onto a big cable traythat was hanging from a roof. i had already said it looked overloaded as the tray was all bent. Anyway we got the first 2 covers on when we saw a mounting screw pop out. by the time i could say f**k-sh!t-fuck, it dropped onto us and dragging the whole 30 metres of it down like one big domino. I ducked and it hit me in the back between my shoulderblades and the cracking, popping sound happened, then it crushed the ladder and threw me down like a ragdoll onto my left heel.
The apprentice managed to jump clear, the little ninja but was a blithering mess, as was i :S
Not much fun at all.
Whoever put it up had hung it every 2 metres with with pissy little screws straight into cement sheeting. What an idiot I reckin it weighed about 60kg a metre.
guess i was lucky as it could have been lots worse…
it was in a school too in a walkway between buildings and kids have been walking under it for weeks!! it coulda killed heaps of them….
but of course im still coming to the kenda, it has put the airforce off as they will want it healed for a min of 12 months now.
so…..IM ON THE PISS :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
it’ll be me and bubba smashing up eildon

May 16, 2010 at 12:31 pm #179319I have to say I didnt think Menace was on the up and up when he rang me this arvo. I started with no way you have to have a spine to have a vertebrae to break one   Anyway when I rang him back 5 mins later I thought shit poor bastard, there was then some texts this arvo and he assured me he would still attend the Kenda to line dance with Bubba
As I said on the phone mate get better will chat during the week
