I’m surprised you would be able to remember what a trail bile looks like given your a member of the latte sippers and anyway my tractor is black. Given that Boony was playing with a green machine yesterday arvo I wouldn’t bet your girl scout cookie money on him going orange.

You do get to ring there neck and they love it and come back for more. When riding a 250 the trick is to rev it till it sounds like it should blow up and then turn the throttle a bit more. You will love a 250 as long as get into the midset that riding starts at 10,000 rpm.

Bundy is on the money there. Coming from a bigger bore bike you need to let the 250’s sing. No use trying to torque them around. Nickj was shifting too early when he first got his and now he holds a lower gear and allows it to rev he is flying on it. As for 250’s being happy in a high rev range I think the reliability of my bike is testament to that.

not sure which team yet?Boony
As long as it’s not the “OTHER” team (not that there’s anything wrong with that  )
You’ll get ribbed which ever way you go
You’ll enjoy a new bike what ever your decision

January 3, 2012 at 12:29 pm #213967I had a go on my friends XR650 on the hollidays and I could not believe the power it had. I could spin the wheels in every gear. And wheelstand in top. Incredible stuff. Then they started talking about a 900 cc tenere. I could not believe you could want more power than that (ie 650). Yes when you hit the tar I could see the reason. You know what they say power corrupts. 👿 Horses for courses. 250’s love tight singles trail.

Aaron the only way Im changing bike colours this year is if I spray paint the DRZ! Four kids at uni at the one time means Im more likely to be picking up and reusing the bits that fall of Boonys new Husky as it falls apart around him.
