A few pictures of our weekend test ride to wet your appetites until the Xmas ride bash.
Friday.
We camped over towards the Ponderosa, 7 riders. a 70 k ride.Headed toward Nundle to check out a rumour of an off road way out of Nundle
Snowy checking out his maps :silly: :silly: :silly:Boony on his best behavior 😆 😆 😆
Damus having a power nap in the sun
Ready to blast orf
Through the creek & up the steps
Down the mother of Jesus hill – a steepish rutted downhill
Not as hard as it looks
What goes down must come up – Boony helping what a nice chap
Saturday 9 riders 100ks
Another pearler of a day for a ride.
With a Kato 350 to evaluate :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Some of the Nundle hills
Unfortunately even new katos are not immune to flats – or was it just pep??
Our posing moit
Yep that tube is beyond wepair
Saturday Night saw the crew being pretty worn out from the great riding experienced. The beers round the campfire sorta interrupted by a very large thunder storm.
Bonus from the storm was water on the trails to keep the dust down.Sunday 14 riders 130ks
Morning tea at the Berry Patch YUM YUMSome practice at getting over logs
Snowy in action, Is that terror in his eyes at the anchor in flight , even Pep seems to be saying whoa up 😆 😆 😆
Another creek crossing
This looks like Boony chucking rocks in the creek, probably to help some poor rider get a bit more traction .. NOT
Nearly home
SUMMARY
I had the best 3 day ride. It seemed that the gods had made the weather & trails perfect for us.
From the steep Parachute Hill, Mother of Jesus , the singles thru the plantation pines.
Wow just great. Thanks to the orgynizers Snowy & Boony.. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
To all OBT’s, head to the Xmas ride , you won’t be disappointed. My only query is why is Boony so sensitive about lamb all of a sudden ??

September 27, 2011 at 12:54 pm #209735Is there anyone from over this way, that is actually taking a Trailbike??? Or have you all Changed? :S
September 27, 2011 at 12:56 pm #209736Ummm thinking I might join the ADV ride from Wauchope  Single trailing would be sweet, but got a heap of that 3 weeks later at Coffs, but also two weeks before will have just done 10 days on the ADV bike
Ummm what to do
Maybe ADV ride up and send the XR up with someone else, best of both ummm
Mick you want the 30 tank to ride up? If Moose is ADV riding up you would have to drive and I can’t see that

Maybe Boll has hijacked your weekend and turned it into a full on ADV event :laugh:The numbers are growing as they slip to the Dark Side 👿
It has the makings of a good run,
Wauchope, over the top to Nundle, then back south to Moonan and home :woohoo:Forgot to add in the compulsary fri shed party that is sure to kick off the run ?????? isn`t it ??? :silly:
September 27, 2011 at 2:06 pm #209742Hey Eags I’ll race you in my falcon with the bikes on the trailer, from what I read if I make it around a corner you probably won’t so it should be an easy win for me

September 27, 2011 at 5:00 pm #209271Hey Boll, my mother lives in Nundle so I will have a spare bed to camp in
, there is 1 other bed up for the taking as well as unlimited floor space for swags if any old bulls get stuck. Also a shed and a big secure yard to park the bikes if needed. Short walk to the pub/cabin park, 😆 I will be up Sat and home Sun arvo back to Barraba. If any old bull interested drop me a line .
Cheers
