Doesn`t that mean he needs to complete todays stage first before he can continue to post a result ???
I see has a maximum penalty of 4hrs 30 mins :unsure:September 25, 2011 at 1:58 am #209643No….he just cops the penalty. The average time was around 2.5 hours for that last leg, so he does lose real time.
It’s a bugger really, he was almost finished when he picked up the wooden hitch-hiker!
CrashEags, I wonder what happened with the Yank on the only 690 in the race? He didn’t start todays stage!

September 25, 2011 at 4:26 am #209648Yes I’m riding tomorrow, was near the end of special when I tried the emergency radio out. Helicoptered out, stick removed & a couple of stitches & a few pain killers & I,ll be back amongst it.
Starting from P 27 so i don’t need to pass slow riders.
Huge day coming up with over 500k competitive, hopefully ankle will hold up.
September 25, 2011 at 11:24 am #209649Well at least your still in it SB, I know sitting here reading reports etc and you see air lifted etc you think straight away poor buggers out. Crash did his in 2008 had a couple of stitches as well
He rode to 80kms to Bathurst hospital  bleed like a stuck pig
didnt want an ambulance, to tight to pay for one I reckon
Keep your feet up  Good luck

Yeah, Dunno,,,,
Seth Strait is the guy you speak of on a 690E (maybe that`s his problem, E not an R)
He is still in 42nd and there are no retirements listed on the site as yet ???? StrangeOn another note the two guys on the 950`s are still cranking along :woohoo:

September 25, 2011 at 6:08 pm #209492No worries Fish, Glad you like it
On the action front, apparently Grabbo has blown an engine (number two for the event) and is limping the rest of the stage ,which is some 300klms :S
Sadly for us Novocastrians, Troy O`Connor has also blown an engine 148k into todays stage and is out !!! He is on the same CPW team as Ben
And as has been tossed around the past day or so,,, Cyril Despres is on the chare for the lead !!! 2nd fastest this mornings stage :woohoo:
More details coming tonite on Grabbo`s misfortune (seems his event is over for 2011)

Excuses,,,, What excuses ????? :pinch:
September 25, 2011 at 10:47 pm #209495Ok, Cyril relinquished 30 minutes to the front runners on todays second stage after running second in the irst stage :S
Can`t see him reeling that back in now (45mins to the front) especially with Dakar looming at Xmas time (won`t want to risk an injury leading up to that surely) :dry:Grabbo seems to be out for sure, stopping mid stage with the engine troubles too much to finish. Shame that
He has already used his spare engine yesterday!!! Only allowed onespare for the event, but you can mix parts between the two to keep running, just not crack the cases apparently (stewards mark them at Scrutineering)Tomorrow will be interesting to see who if anyone will challenge for the lead
Diener has come out of the woodwork & Faggotter is hot on the tail as well :woohoo: Both hardened competitors
