IMS tank for the WR still requires YZ shrouds, jetting too lean did you change your pilot aiir and main air jets to suit

Yes we did the whole bit, followed his jetting. Got a small increase in economy, with a seat of pants power gain, then rejetted on the dyno & gained more hp, with an awesome torque curve. However no gain in fuel economy. Seat of pants actually feels slower because of the linear power deilvery.

Still using twice the amount of fuel as everyone is saying. Could always wind the leak jet in & limit the squirt.

We tried Q, JD Blue & full circle back to JD Redwith a couple of clip changes.

Was interesting to see the my power, torque & fuel curves overlayed with other bikes.

I put a clark tank on my 09 wr450f (about 13 litres from memory ) ( in black ) put the original shrouds onto the new tank and put the original fuel stop tap, but had to extend the fuel hose between pet cock to carby ( very easy ) just got some fuel line from Super cheap and made it work. The new clark tank fits very well even with the force radiator guards ( another must have ), Ive had the tank for a while now and swear by it. oh and i got it from ballards Penrith. Paid about $350
