I was just interested to hear from any 2011 or 2012 Husaberg owners what their experience with the 70 degree Bergs has been.
Thanks in advance.STM
June 14, 2012 at 7:32 pm #224167I had some teething issues but all good now and loving the new ride. I can ride the 570 99.99% as fast through the single track as I could the 300, most impressive for bike with almost 566cc’s!
The local guy I ride with can’t quite believe it when we come out of a section of single and I’m sat right behind him
June 14, 2012 at 8:34 pm #224179They are good
FE stands for F##king Excellent
I love mine, haven’t had any dramas.
The engine is the KTM engine so it is tried and tested and parts are readily available.
ps. MC Chronic likes em
June 14, 2012 at 8:37 pm #224168If ya keen STM I would jump on soon as rumor has it the 70 degree engine is being discontinued to become part of dirt bike history that the likes of Moto will tell his grandchildren about.
Even second hand ones may be hard to pick up with some current owners reluctant to part with them.
It’s a shame as it was good to see at least one manufacturer who was prepared to think outside the square.

Your right mate. Not only is the 70 degree gone in 2013 but the 390 becomes a 350 so it will be a blue KTM.

So if it is gone then maybe it wasn’t as good as they had expected or hoped for.
June 14, 2012 at 9:18 pm #224169Jeffro I think this was a decision by the KTM bean counters nothing to do with its performance.
June 14, 2012 at 11:27 pm #224196STM ive got a 12 berg 390 and the more i ride it the more i like it
came off 200 exc which are awsome bikes
expecting it to feel lot bigger and heaver to ride but supprised how well
it turns and feels when riding
they do feel heavy to lift and push around but i think anything
would when your used to a 200
they seem to get plenty of traction
awsome frontend feels realy planted
thats my 2 bobs worth anyway
cheers
FordyJune 15, 2012 at 12:01 am #224170Pretty sure all who rode the 390 at Louee a couple of years ago (Suttos Demo Day) loved the bike. It had a Rekluse too from memory, but not many people really noticed it unless told about it

FordyGood feedback Fordy.
The weight was a concern as they are a solid bike but if it feels nimble on the trail after coming off a 200 banger then that says a lot about the design.STM
June 15, 2012 at 1:01 am #224171yep so far i like my 570, considering i have a very under strength right arm due to braking my elbow and still have issues with it, the berg is very controllable and forgiving, cant wait to push it hard once i’m recovered, suspension is a bit different to set up, it is a bit heavier to pick up but it should not be on it’s side anyway, is far quicker through tight stuff then my old berg 450
my only hate so far is the bloody 2012 sticker kit pealing off from newJuly 5, 2012 at 3:37 pm #224227Anyone compared the Berg 390 with a KTM350? I just like the look of the Berg but the tests / opinions of the 350 are all excellent.
July 5, 2012 at 5:16 pm #225589I’ve now ridden both, the 350 on recently. I would take the 350 every day of the week. The 390 is a boring bike to ride.
I’m with you on the looks though, the Bergs look better.
