The 5 days off make it accessable for more people, without having to take a week off.

February 14, 2012 at 7:12 pm #214792Wato’s K100RS scrapper, started life as a $500 special and I use the ‘Special’ term loosely! With 400,000 k’s on it and the engine had more knocks than a door to door salesman. It has more leaks than Julia Gillards Cabinet
He has put another engine in and this bike is Grandads Axe. K100RT Bike K100RS Engine, K100LT engine, K75 Gearbox. Its close to running and will be ready for the Scrapheap Adventure Ride!!!!!
February 16, 2012 at 12:00 am #214793Well I have been busy today and with the help of Ray Tollhurst at Camden Airport I have made a single seat base in fibreglass today. Just have to mount up the rubber spacers, the hinge and catch and then off to the trimmers

February 19, 2012 at 10:40 pm #214794Tamworths Peter Baxter is gearing up for a Big ride!!
My bike is a TF 100 which I purchased off a farmer for $350.00 I spent another 300 to get it registered. The photo on the website shows the bike in its work livery. I have rigged it up for doing GPS surveys along the road. It is a wonderful machine for this as it has a clip on the clutch and the front brake. I need to stop every 10m or so when doing surveys of this nature. I currently have it in the workshop getting new tyres and tubes. I figure we will do about 60kph for the trip. Everyone seems to concerned about the weight to power ratio but I believe if I just plug along it will make it no problems.
I will be with Rod Hemmings and our goal is to ride over as many dirt roads as we can find between here and our destination.
Good Luck Peter and Rod
