Rider Update
Paul Doherty has just about finished this nice 1992 TT350 Scrapper.
It needed a bit of loving , but ready for the trip up from Victoria
March 7, 2012 at 10:57 pm #217762Well I am so glad I have registered for this ride. There is more to the picture than I realised. I just got an email from the organisers and there is a link on it that inspired me more than ever. As it turns out, our very own Pezz, has his own story to tell and it is the most inspiring story I have heard for a very long time! Bring it on and fair dinkum if you guys knew the whole story you’d be jumping all over sponsoring the Old Bull’s team in the Scrapheap Adventure ride. There is a story on Youtube that I would love to post but I feel it is up to Pezz to post it, I think.
Pezz is one inspiring man.March 7, 2012 at 11:26 pm #217824I know the vid you are talking about Mick and i felt the same when i saw it, laughed my arse off at the end.
I had thought about posting it myself, i think Pezz would be ok with it.
If its for the purpose of inspiration i think it would be okPezz is one cool dude

Pezz is one inspiring man.My kids met Pezz for the first time last weekend at his house. Lochie who is 12 was moved to say when we got in the car what an amazing and nice man Pezz is. Kieran somewhat younger was amazed that Pezz could ride a motorbike, When Pezz walked out in shorts well you know how little kids are. I only got the story from Pezz about a month or two ago and it was incredible to hear what he went through, he also gave his parents side of it as well but didn’t mention the car  It is inspiring yes Mick very much so should help us take nothing for granted eh

March 8, 2012 at 1:44 am #217830Im starting to contemplate the bike for next year . . . which will be out west again.
So far I have designed the swingarm and want to run a Kenda ATV Tire – Pathfinder K530 25-10.00-12 (4 Ply) tyre on the rear
Just dont know the speed rating for them . . . .
I will just need to find a suitable bike to adapt it too . . . any ideas?? A bit like a TW200 on steroids
Bit like a Rokon back end with a raked out front end with a 21″er

March 9, 2012 at 11:54 pm #217763Well much to Pezz’s disgust I have had to shelf the planned resurrection of the XLV. I came down to a few things. Yes I know how the scrapheap works but there is a little but more to it for me. Firstly I have been asked help workout a route and lead the ride. I need something reliable, tried and tested. Secondly we CANT get the parts required. They are a fuel tank and a fuel pump (Pezz may have located a loner fuel pump) but still no tank and its too good a bike that Steve wants to restore later. That means no butchering to make the Scrapheap.
I will instead be riding the 1988 Tenere 750 which isn’t without requiring some work itself.
Stripped down chasing a fuel issue
Big arse fuel tank
Parts tub
Love this

Sidetrack Bob (AdvRider) has been on a flood tour for the past few days, decided to check out the venue!
Can I just say that the nearby hills are very steep, you need good brakes going down and a bit of grunt going up……………..my scrapper has neither so I,m in trouble:rofl I actually dropped my camping gear off there for Easter, 10 kg less weight for the XTerminator
Nice spot fore sure, I can guarante it will be bloody cold so bring the winter woolies
