6mm is what I need. Three are metric thread but the forth is a self taper that some wood duck put in there in the past. Nothing is ever easy when dealing with older bikes!

You will find the “wooduck” also put them in other fairing mount lugs. That bike is full of surprises  BTW the “wooduck” in question lives in Bundaburg QLD

And your welcome re the plastic screw idea wooduck! :P

    OK,
I have white (can be any colour you like with the use of a texta  ) nylon, m6 x 16mm long. Cap screw head with flat screw slot. May be able to find some more option tomorrow ;) You will just need to use staino nuts on the back (I have no nylon nuts)
I will post on Monday if you like . Or tomorrow arvo if m6 x 16 is fine …..

    Cheers

I never suggested you were the wood duck TB. I know you’d never use a self taper. Zip tie maybe, but not a wood workers screw. I have found quite a few surprises on the old girl. Not that I am complaining. It is a whole lot of bike considering what I paid for it. I have already had enough fun on it to cover the original purchase price. :P

The Piglet has some issues but all should be resolved for the start of the ride, i was replacing the spokes on the rear and realized that the rim is no good and needs throwing out :( now i have to get a new rim but all is good :)
The racks on the back is finished and the bags that i got off Krusty and Badbowie look tops B) thanks guys :)
I welded the racks up myself and the steel weighed about 1kilo which added about 4 horse power :woohoo: but unfortunatley i used about 8 kilo of welds which knocks it back 5 hp :S
I still need to chop the rear guard some more but that is easy and will be attacked shortly.
I have been playing around with welding plastic and i am toying with the idea of putting a screen on the Piglet, after seeing a few screen and dash board setups i am keen to have a crack at one, after all i will need somewhere to mount the switch for the heated grips

some pics will come when i have all bits together and start to put it all back on.

Sounds like a real cool machine you are building Pete, you wont need that much power mate, just duck in behind me on the NX and slip stream.

The screen, I got made, works a treat. ;) I took my Daughter for a spin to the top of Bago on the NX on Saturday.

The Gully raker, off in the distance in this pic, caught up with us and absolutely dumped on us, so the screen got a proper work out on its first ride!!

    Rider Update

Here is a 750,000k one owner GT750 thats certainly seen some action!!!!

    Warren says:
Here’s a few photos. The Oodnadatta track one was taken in 1986 when the bike was only 4 yrs old. We rode across the middle of Australia on that trip, via Giles weather Stn and the Gunbarrel, various other pictures taken over the years. The trip to Bedouri I was with 2 guys on trail bikes, it was a good dirt road until it rained, then I had to take my mudguard off, both the trail bikes were stuck in the mud for 2 days, but the GT750 got through, and I waited for them at Boulia.

Its World Down Syndrome Day today 21 – 3

This reflects the 3rd, 21st Chromosone which is what defines Down Sydnrome

    World-DS-Day-Large-L.jpg

Let us in – I want to learn
Down Syndrome International presents the global video event “Let us in – I want to learn!” In partnership with 68 countries for World Down Syndrome Day 2012.

Please watch this video and help us create a single global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome on 21 March.
The contributions are arranged alphabetically by country (Albania to Zimbabwe), so we see our own Grace Gilsenan quite early!

A nice demonstration that people with Down syndrome are born into all cultures, all ethnic groups, all nations – we are part of a world-wide community.
