Nick from Tekniks told me, he was the one and he was right again, I rang him and said I heard and was told and he kept saying it’s injected B) Seems he was in the know, there was another person that told me but I better not mention his name  He also kept saying injected and he told me about the frame etc. As I said somewhere else here very interesting what goes on

Now who would buy a first model?

And with all this new trick looking gear with fuel injection and stuff is there a shop in Yamaha that sells riding ability so i could ride my DRZ to its full potential before i think about buying one of these new WRF?

Looks sweet and definitely debunks that first photo as a fake, no reverse head here. I think the reverse head would cause issues for tank size on the WR as the YZ has the tank over top of air filter. The YZ has a 6 litre tank  not going to far in the bush on 6 litres.

Now when are Yamaha going to bring out a WR450R like they do with the 250. Thats a bike I would be interested in.

yep a wr450r would be interesting i reckon.noticed they have followed the small ugly shroud lead of husky followed by ktm look like a good bike but :woohoo:

Looks like Yamaha will shut up all the critics with this one and they have squeezed it into a yz250f frame. :woohoo:

I’m with you on that. One piece is the go. They used to make one piece that covered the tank sides so you would just replace the shrouds and not have to tape the tank up. Form over function again bloody gen y.

Do you also think the fact that more will be sold in the state of California than all of Australia have anything to do with it (and they have another 49 odd states  )

ADR wont make up the difference, they should be cheaper yes I agree but ;)

When in the US lately I went to heaps of bike shops and checked prices first hand. I can tell you for the most part shops like Mud and Tar size up to Sutto’s size are priced on whole within a few dollars of us. Somethings here like tyres are cheaper or dearer then us. Its the big players like Giant, BTO, ATV etc that are heaps cheaper and that is purely bulk buying power. I have been told BTO sell more neck braces from their one super store in six months then the whole of Australia had bought in 3 years!

If Yamaha for example had one importer for the whole of the South Pacific like Cummins do well that would cut out a few middle men that have a slice of the pie to pay their way. Food for thought
