And I have no idea (yet) where “Yarrahappinni” is!

I’m still trying to come to grips with a place called “Dondingalog”!

   Good one Raz  Mate its Dondingalong ;) Yarrahappinni is North East about 50 KM At the Dong There is a Offroad track there, used to be a very good MX track but is now only used by Car racing (I think). We lived at Sherwood about 5 KM up the road. I used to ride there after school on my MX250. I think it hosted a couple of State/aussie titals in the early 80’s (saw jeff leisk on a RM125X,first watercooled RM) kick everyones arse :woohoo:

PS If you find some mangled fingers in a drain on the side of the road, they are probably mine :pinch:

Ossa only make a trials bike at the moment don’t they? … A fantastic looking trials bike that is! Never tried trials (on purpose) but would love to.

Trials is awesome fun and they are bringing out an enduro bike range. They are taking deposits for them now ;)

And the best bit is that it’s fuel injected running twin injectors! Beta are going to doing a 2 stroke enduro model soon too, it’s currently in testing and there are some spy shots.

Just need a Bultaco now and all will be right in the world!

What a shame the MX track is no longer there! Hangin’ for some good track time …. Be great to get it up and running again somehow.

What sort of “offroad track” is there?

PS I won’t be actively looking for your mangled fingers … hope they weren’t your clutch or brake fingers!

That is pretty awesome looking! Be an interesting one to watch once it’s released.

Isn’t the old Bultaco brand now GasGas?

Not sure. I think Ossa will come under the Gas Gas wing shortly.

Yep Bultaco was bought out by GASGAS. DI Gasser maybe with OSSA corporate Knowledge ;)

Re the track raz its an offroad Buggy type track so possibly still could be used as a MX track. The trouble is Kempsey motorcycle club is mainly focused on speedway at Greenhills. HVMCC is the go to MX club in the area.

Oh and yeah they were my brake fingers  Happened nearly 30 years ago now

    That is sex on wheels.

It almost as good looking as my bike. The Mrs thinks my bike still looks better, so it’s new replica for me.

I was chatting to my local Sherco dealer the other day and he mentioned Sherco might be doing a 2T next year. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Time to start saving.

How is a two stroke the way of the future? Or even a 4 stroke? Ummm you would think the money making marketing giants like Yamaha, Honda etc that are into EVERYTHING already that makes them money would be into producing a two stroke if there was really major market demand. Think about it honestly, they have the technology (it hasn’t changed since they stopped or since JC played fullback for Jerusalm) Maybe a it’s a small niche market that is already covered by the 5 odd euro makers that are covering it? I can’t help but think if there was a true demand they would be into it. Pride doesn’t pay the bills and they are only in it for coin don’t kid yourself the Japs have back flipped on everything over the years.

    Just my thoughts

I reckon TB is right. As much as I’d like to say they don’t want to swallow their pride, I think if the market was there for them they’d bo onto it in a heartbeat.

On the flipside, the sport has opened up into other avenues and extreme enduro’s are becoming ever popular. In these events the 2 strokes still dominate, you only have to look at the line-up to see that. If it grows big enough in the US (the biggest global bike market for enduro/MX) then we may see Honda/Yamaha have a rethink.

They already have more adavnced two stroke technology, their interest is in four strokes though. Still, you can’t hide from the fact until recently, KTM’s best selling model has been the 300.I’ve been riding enduro for exactly 4 years and 10 days and in that time I’ve seen the number of 2 smokers on the trail significantly increase. I hated them………then bought one
