I know its October, but before you know it, it will be Christmas and then New Year and not long after that they put Easter decorations out, and you know what that means?
    Scrapheap Challenge !!!!

The Scrapheap Adventure Ride is the Brain child of Perry “Pezz” Gilsenan( a bloody legend and all round top bloke ) but he couldnt do this on his own, so with family and friends and the awesome people at Down Syndrome NSW we have this awesome adventure http://scrapheapadventureride.com.au/
Each year gets bigger and better and this year will follow in the true footsteps of the Scrapheap tradition.

Get your bikes up and running cause this ride will creep up on us quickly, plus you need to get onto the website and regester. Last year Team old bull Raised just under the $5000 dollar mark but this year will be better and bigger.

This really is a load of fun,,,,,,,,,,and a great cause :woohoo:

Pete is right! It is a great ride for an even better cause!

At this stage, I am keen to do it again next year. I am still debating whether to do it on the CT90 or give the NX another run.

Looking forwards to this again really I can’t wait :woohoo: and am so excited I have already got a rough route for the ride to Comeroo Station where there will probably be another day loop again. I will pre run it all with Steve (Wolfman) Smith again soon which will no doubt be fun again  Looking forward to maybe riding the 750 again if I am good

OBT will be looking for sweeps and helpers again if people are interested in riding their own bike if they want. Salina and the boys are coming along this year in my car towing a trailer as it’s a great family event. Check it out on Petes link

I really think you should do it on a scraper TB. The 750 was a bit luxurious to say the least.

I am also trying to talk the missus into making it a family event, if Salina and co are going, it might make her keener to come along.

    .

Well I have bought 3 posties Mick and a postie was the plan, but I cant lead it on a postie bike its to slow or anything unreliable can I now  Besides I like riding the 750 :P  Really whats the difference between the NX and the XTZ, I sold the NX to you way under value thats the only reason it made the $1000 cut off, and they are the same year models now leave the 750 out of it   Besides things fell of the 750 like a scraper this year anyway
You just get one of yours rebuilt, ready and registered, you will need Mel to go to carry your gear if you ride the cub    The poor old cub will be struggle street anyway I reckon seeing as though the posties only just do it and they go better than a 90c cub. Would be a real awesome thing to do it on the cub but eh.

I heard a whisper there will be different classes next year and the 750 will quailify in that format so if thats the case its well within the spirit of the event ;)

Did you check out the camel station wicked eh, and it has a bar :woohoo:

The ride out may start at the track at Bathurst which would make an amazing back drop for a group photo :)

I would suggest that had something to do with the way it was being ridden!

Just had a look at the proposed route for the ride. We will probably head straight across from the coast, via the Oxley Highway to Tamworth, Gunnedah and Narrabri. Probably have to catch you guys at Bourke for the last 150kms.

Come to Narromine for the overnight stay and ride in with everyone the second day. Not much further, food for thought ;) Then go home the way above but be careful at Walgett

Sounds like a plan, although it is 612kms to Narromine from here, might have to do it over 2 days.

Wauchope to Tamworth or Gunnedah then the next day to Narromine.

Got a link to the accomodation in Narromine?

So what is the go with this ride? Do you have to start at Sydney or can you join in along the way? I have a 73 SL175 that a mate gave me, which I could use. Sounds like a fun ride.

No Jim, you don’t have to do the whole ride with the group. I am planning to start here at Wauchope and am aiming to meet the Sydney group on day 2 at Narromine.

A SL175 would fit in nicely at the Scrapheap.

Hmm. Might have to give this some thought and do some work on the old girl.

Get onto it Jimmy plenty of places to join in on the ride to the event. The ride there will be epic like last years. Get on board mate a great social turnout and we raise some coin for a great cause.
