As we missed the Birthday ride last year we also missed our fund raising opportunity so in February we will run an online auction. I know it will not be the same without Bollocks running the show but I am sure he will chime in regularly.
By doing an online auction it allows everyone to be involved rather than just those lucky enough to make it to a specific ride date. Already there are some good rides being posted for 2015 so we really need to cover the site costs to keep the OBT wheels rolling.
It also allows you to contribute by both supplying and by buying goods or services. During the month of January if you have a product or service you would like to donate to the cause then PM me and I will start a list.
On the 1st of February the bidding will begin and close at the end of the month.
Woodseys Wheels in Woolgoolga has come on board and offered an MTB to go on auction. You can see it here

PM me with anything you would like listed and I will put it all together. It will be a bit of fun and it will secure the site for another year. You may even end scoring something you actually want at a good price!!

I don’t mean to turn this into a garage sale but what if we had something used that we donated for the auction?

For example I have a good yamaha 5 Channel surround sound amp that’s perfect except I wanted 7 Channel home theatre. Even at $20 it’s still funds.

Otherwise I can bag up some radiation I have spare!

Much come in yet Scott? I am still away but will make things happen when I get home with the site sponsors.

RideADV will put up a one of our rides including the use of one of our WR’s. The prize will include accommodation, bike hire, route and fuel (excluding the finke ride) value including would be over $800 and more depending on the event chosen. A factory ride weekend :woohoo:

Cheers for that Drewy. I will add it to the list.
I just got home from skiing Canada and hoped for more PM’s with auction goods. I am going to postpone to start date to mid Feb and run it through to mid March as right now there is not much to post.
Surely there are more members out there who can offer goods or services to the auction.
Keep in mind that the site requires money to continue so dig around and come up with whatever you can.

Hi Drewy, just hold onto it for now mate and we will get back to you asap

Welcome back STM, I will give you a ring in a few days when you get adjusted back to being home. Disappointing you need to postpone the start, we do need this badly as we didn’t raise any money last year and funding stopped ages ago. The site has been propped up privately for some time now, while no one looks for pats on the back some help from all that use OBT as free and effective ride and social base would be very much appreciated.

This weekend the Auction will begin and run for 1 month. If you have anything you would like to contribute please PM me with the details. The site need the funds so pull out whatever you have and hit me up.
On Friday night I will list all items so that the bidding can begin!!
