This year will be my ninth time at this event and I would not miss it. So far the people that are going are. Scott Irving, Ben knight, Buck,Jock Dalzell,Matt butler. Well that’s the Tamworth people I know anyway as half of moree will be there. B) Very good family event. The little ones have fun on pee wee track and a pro could test himself in the snake pit or loop the twenty k track including the enchanted forest each time.

We rode the 20km and 40km last Saturday. There are a few new sections but is generally the same loops.
You have the option of going through the Enchanted forest from both the 40km and 80km loops. The forest has been changed a bit with more added to it. It is the toughest route through the forest I have ever seen and would strongly recommend NOT going that way if you have kids with you or your a learner. I think I was the only one out of about 15 bikes that didn’t boil. There will be the by-pass and I also believe there will be an exit out if you get in there and realise it was a bad idea trying to take on a mini erzberg.

I had a ball in there but many didn’t.

We are doing some final marking of the 80km loop this Saturday.

love the forest.Last year I was on my daughters husky 250,my bro came back for his first ride in 12 years,so I gave him the xr 650 to welcome him back.He fell of 10 ks before the enchanted forest and broke the clutch lever.Mufafuca rode straight through, laughing at me stuck (was letting other riders sort there shit out)still amazes me how he did it,with no clutch

All good Dikie, We’ll go to the hills of gold and see if the creeks are up with all that snow melted and more rain forecast it should be a good weekend camping & riding. :woohoo:
