CJ nailing the top stage of Razorback
Thrillseeker nearing the top of such an iconic hill
Yeeha
Me
Thank the gods
A good shot on what we climbedThats all folks
Just when you think your too old to learn new tricks, you try another hill and nail it. (gotta be happy with that) :woohoo:
Tim has already thought of another hill to add.
I guess the next one could be called 5 hills and a footlong
By the way, the four hills we did were the major ones. There were a hell of a lot of other challenging climbs amongst it.
Cheers

Rock onOctober 14, 2012 at 5:02 am #230711Just been looking at those shots of Razorback and it is plain to see that it is hard to show how steep it is through the lense of a camera. The trees are still leaning over which makes the hill even steeper than portrayed.
Putting this together almost took as long as the ride.:silly:
Cheers
MurphOctober 14, 2012 at 6:00 am #230712There’s some great shots of hard stuff in there!!
Feel a bit sorry for the guy on the old PE  Champion effort though on such a classic

Feel welcome for the next one, Razz
We are always there to lend a hand at the harder spots, as I hope you would be for me?
Gotta love the OB spirit.:woohoo:
Which is really just another way of confirming Karma (what goes around comes around)  👿
Because of my 48 years, I have tended more towards the photogrophy than lending a helping hand on the slings. But, on saying that I will always try and be there if needed. Will leave no one behind.
After all thats what my young fella (Tim) is for.
Cheers
Hope to seeya sign up one day

Maybe some issues to look at if considering the new WR, hey?????
Truly hope ya get these issues sorted, Looselink
We did about 70 odd kms before we hit the servo at Freemans
It was there that I put in 6 litres and even the thirstiest 2T, CJ, put in 9, (yes he was getting close)
Anyway, ya do what ya gotta and I have been known to carry fuel on my back whilst riding the old 525.
Lots of hippy lovin
Murph da surfOctober 14, 2012 at 8:12 am #230690MURPH 48 years young and still not grown up
Great report Murph, Some good pics too, especially the action ones of the young tackers tacklin` the rad steps  :woohoo:
BTW Prosso said to say G`Day the other day when I showed him your pics from WA
Cheers
October 14, 2012 at 8:13 am #230718Had 86 kms on the clock when ran out probly chewed a bit up on amazon and only a 7.2 litre tank.Could always run less aggressive map on longer rides which would help so don”t see fuel as an issue really it”s not much different to the old Husky,am wondering why I”m the only bike to boil but. No more issues than any other make just different.

Too right Eags. :woohoo: :woohoo:
Why grow up whenya don’t have to.
Surfing keeps ya young as does riding with your young bloke. (which I do love)
Tide has changed though. Now its time for him to show me the hard lines.
Thats what he has done with Razorback.I am sure I rode up that about 30 years ago. It was nothing on what it is today.   :woohoo: 👿
hey I rode everything that the young fella’s did
Just that I was the only one with a camera.
If I ever had to do a hardcore ride, I would love to have Thrillseeker,CJ and my kid, Tim, always there.
On saying that there are a whole lot of good blokes out there.
Starting with my very good mate,Mal (Dive buddy, Spearfishing buddy, Canyoning buddy, Rock climbing buddy, this bike riding thing still doesn’t have the buzz of hanging halfway off a 200m cliff to call it for a lunch break. Gotta love the memories.
Seems as though the apple don’t fall all that far from the tree.
Young Tim has been climbing indoors for a year or more now
I did take him out on the real stuff just the other weekend, top roping of coarse.
He, as I expected out climbed me. As it should be.Ya gotta let the younger gen have a go and thats exactly what he doing. Tried to hang on to mydomination for too long.
I am gettingslower, weeker, older whilst Tim is getting fitter, stronger and more intelligent
I don’t even know what started this waffle
hey Eags, Plase say G-day to Prosso
Cheerio

October 15, 2012 at 2:24 am #230691Another Awesome ride Murph. Thanks for putting it on. It’s good to have you back out there after your trip away.
Tim & CJ. You guys are way to fit. That last hill Razorback and the 30km of singles killed me but am happy we did them now.
I think l will have to take up indoor rock climbing as it is working a treat for you two.

I knew you wouldn’t miss that photo Murph
(No cigar Thrillseeker. This is why its called slippery rock.)
Thanks for Clarifying that for me Murph. I forgot untill my back wheel starting spinning like crazy. :pinch: That was the toughed hill of the day for me for sure. It’s the easier ones that always catch you out.Awesome ride.
Thrillseeker.

October 17, 2012 at 3:35 am #230843Welcome back anytime, Gazza.

Gary.October 21, 2012 at 8:11 am #230717Wicked report and pics Murph, I think we all expect nothing less from you these days! Good to scene the Murphsberg still attracting their fair share of carnage!
I thought someone might have given Gazza a heads-up before hitting up a Murph ride on a PE175!!!
It was a warm day for it, I rode in Ourimbah and was cramping left, right and centre for most of the day. It’s surprising given my commitment to intense physical exercise
