so guys what jetting are you running on your XR600 with a Mikuni TM38-85 flatslide and what mods do you have. Need to get mine running better
November 1, 2009 at 9:42 am #158908When I had an XR630. I had the 38mm Mikuni and was running a 210 main and a 12.5 pilot from memory.(I am at sea level)
If I ran a 200 main I found it would ping under load and at 220 you could near see pure fuel in the exhaust gases.
Needle setting in the middle,I didn’t fool with that much but if I had, there probably would have been gains there too.
Cheers
MickNovember 1, 2009 at 9:52 am #158976thanks micknmeld what mods did you have done besides the 630 kit

AS far as mods went,I didn’t do that many. The carby, a set of fat bars and risers. Pivot Pegz and that was about it. Because it was a XR I didn’t have to do much except change the oil and ride it.
I also had a full staintune system on it for a while.November 1, 2009 at 10:30 am #158980no air box mods or after market air cleaner

Oh yeah and also the Old Bull Guard stickers that made it go like a scalded cat.
November 2, 2009 at 12:38 am #159001Thanks micknmeld
need to get me one of those Old Bull Guard stickers how much more Hp did it give you??? :laugh:November 2, 2009 at 12:59 am #159014Bucket loads of power mate!! Well worth the $20 for the stickers.
One of the first rides with them on I managed to flip it and ended up with my foot in plaster (with a probable fracture).I would only recommend the Old Bull sticker upgrade if you think you can handle the extra HP.
Another thing we found that will give you extra HP on a XR600 is to fit a set of spokey dokes to your front wheel. Moose’s XR rips with them on.
