If you or fish need any Drz adventure parts ( screen, 28 ltr tank, air hawk etc) I still have all the kit from Cameron ride and your more than welcome to borrow it. I can post it anytime. Pm me if you need anything.March 13, 2011 at 11:30 pm #189345Thanks for the offer Nick. We are putting my 22ltr on the DRZ and I will speak to Fish about a screen, but the air hawk will not be needed mate!! You have met Fish have’nt you? He has one of his own its a permanent fixture

Bad luck Gav  , I’ll organise another trip from Kens one day.
C’mon Gaz get yer bike ready and pair up with Tryhard
There is still accomodation available at Gunning Pub – for those that have not yet booked.

March 14, 2011 at 8:26 am #189346Hey Mick, we are bringing the 14 fronts along in case we have to gear down along the way
I am also going through the panniers and only taking whats necessary  Cloths are going to be well worn on this trip!!:blush:March 15, 2011 at 10:31 am #198088My prep for this ride is almost done and dusted and the Old NX is running sweeeeeeeeeet.
I put a new set of Perelli MT 21’s front and rear for this ride and I’m wondering if anyone has used them before and what sort of KLM’s I should get out of them.
I’m a bit worried I’ll destroy them on the trip down to Sydney before we even get into the ride.

March 15, 2011 at 11:24 am #198155I’m going to fit my new tyres at TBs the night we arrive so I don’t trash them on the Tar.

They will be fine I reckon Kram, I have run them before the NX isnt a tyre destroyer  Run 32 psi in them for the trip down or fit your old ones and strap the new ones either side and we can refit them at my place (note you fit them while I drink stubbies and watch  )

I reckon I might take the rear off. I had to put them on for rego but I might put the old one back on for the trip down..
Can we leave a week early

March 16, 2011 at 12:47 am #198157Hi Kram
I’ve got the MT21’s on my 690. The rear I put on for the Corner ride and took it off after the Nabiac ride with just over 4000km on it running at 20-22psi with about 50% tar. The front I put on before the corner ride, about 1000k so all up now about 5000km. I reversed it after the nabiac ride as it was getting a bit stepped (and noisy) but still plenty of tread. I’ll fit a new front with a bit more knobs before leaving for the 3 state ride, just to try something different.
As TB said keep the pressures up for the run down the tar and they will be fine.Mick

March 16, 2011 at 1:10 am #198193I ran a MT21 front on the Camerons ride last year Mick, it did 3900 kms and was rooted but I should have turned it you did and it would have done more. It went well on the corner ride
The 606’s go well and the Dunlop 907 I have on now grips unreal but it won’t do the miles if you put it on the bitumen but is fantastic on dirt
