I think I’m finally getting organised, truth be known I’m as nervous as a pooch passing peach pips.
Got looking at the joblist to get Ol burple ready for 8 days of fun, then went and bought a new DR 650. Picked that up on friday arvo, and managed to rack up a few hundred kays over the weekend. Pretty good, but will tweak over the next couple of days. Any chance of a lend of that airhawk Nick? I think the seat may have been made of concrete by mistake!
Also replaced some of my camping gear that failed so miserably on the Camerons ride.
Anyway, looking forward to just getting on the bike and going.
    See you at Gunning,
    Moose

4 off us are leaving Blaxland between 7.30 and 8am on thursday for a loop of around 300kms to Gunning with as little as bitumen as I can avoid. You have to go about 80kms from Sydney to start on the dirt. We are going over the mountains and out through Cox’s River with some exploring along the way. No promises but will be doing the best we can to avoid the black top especially main roads.

Welcome to join if you want

Dropped in at Moose’s yesterday arvo and was gob smacked to see him standing there half cut with a beer in his hand, watching his dear wife Cathy load his bike for him!!
Talk about spoilt!! Either that or she cant wait for him to piss off!!

I have to admit , I had a twinge of envy when I saw his bike all loaded up for another adventure. I spose I will get over it. I will be thinking of you blokes next week when I am sitting on the beach in Vanuatu. ;)

    Enjoy the trip boys!!

Well the NX is locked and loaded and I’ve got about an hour before heading off to meet Moose and Nick.

I’m starting wonder what I’ve forgotten and what I haven’t done to the bike. I hope the Old Girl makes it OK.

Let the adventure begin :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Catch you ladies and gentlemen in about 8 days
