Cool start to the morning, but we all new it wouldn’t stay that way for long.
Started with a full crew except CJ.
It was great to add our latest single and things flowed well.
Did mostly singles out to our first hill, Amazon and yes it still amazes me.
Everybody did the first 2 stages without much incident. :woohoo:
Stage 3 sorts the boys out though and there was a bit of carnage.
Tim rode the mad far right section but he is crazy.  :woohoo:
Justo’s bike wasn’t playing the game and with a flat battery we all took turns kicking life into her every time he stalled. (May be worth checking the v/v clearances, Justo. It was bloody hard to start) :pinch:
Justo and Gavb left us for home at the top of Amazon which in turn changed our plan and we opted not to do Slippery Rock and Congo. We ended up down in Bangalow with a new/old hill climb challenge. I went first but got caught on a wrong line and watched my son go blipping past. Thrillseeker made it a little further but had to turn around and have another go as did I. Mick25 hit it with gusto and managed to get up the gnarly section.
It was then a reasonably fast section back to Freemans for fuel and a footlong Subway.
Note to self, a footlong is about 3 inches to long.
Next challenge was Razorback. 👿
The four of us made it up the two very gnarly rock sections with varying success but at least there was 4 of us at the top. We then headed for home taking in a lot more ST.
Home around 4:00pm so we only spent about 8 hours (98km) on the bikes but that was enough.
Thanks to all for coming along.
Hope to see Justo and Gavb out on another one of our rides one day soon.
Maybe some pics to come later
Cheers

MurphTrolling the internet trying to find something decent to read/look at, and you say TOMMORROW.
Shame :cheer: :cheer:
March 30, 2013 at 9:56 am #238869Sorry Dickie
If you have the patience of a saint you may/I may get the piccy’s happening. (After all, it is a Saturday night, on a long weekend, after a bloody great ride. Just trieing to get my breath back.)
Love the keen thoughts that there may be carnage though.
I’m sure thats what you were thinking. :woohoo:
Carnage without injury or damage to machine is always worthy of a few pics.
So be it
Murph on our new single
Mick25
Thrillseeker
Justo

Mick25 on stage 3, Amazon
Thrillseeker lending a hand only to get a mouthfull of roost??
Tims second run……………… He had already done the exxxxxtreme RH variant and then proceeded to ride back down to show us all how to do the easier section. Ya gotta hate a show off. :pinch:
Justo and new found friends
Gavb styling
Gavb not so styling.  :pinch:March 30, 2013 at 10:28 am #238871
Too quick for the camera. :woohoo: :pinch:
Gavb, with a little help from new found friends.
Gavb, trying to keep that front wheel down. :woohoo:
Sorry about the time zone on these pics. This one is of Thrillseeker on a particular gnarly section before we got to Amazon. This hill is broken up into different stages so we know what the hell is going on and where. Even Thrillseeker said “I didn’t even make stage 0.5”. On saying that he smashhed the rest of the hill/mountain. :woohoo:March 30, 2013 at 10:35 am #238872
Gavb on a nasty log hop.
Justo styling
Looking the goods
Sorry, Justo. The camera tells no lies. :blush:March 30, 2013 at 10:46 am #238873
Ouch!!!!!!!!
Really sorry the camera was looking into the sun, perhaps thats Justo’s excuse too. :pinch:
Sorry, mate, but you did say expose the pics. Hey, so long as you weren’t hurt, then all is good. :woohoo:March 30, 2013 at 10:59 am #238874
As a camera man, I was hoping you were going to show your face. Thanks for that. :pinch:
Justo, get a new battery and lets have another crack this hill. :woohoo:
The rest of the crew down in Bangalow
A very gnarly way out of Bangalow, Thrillseeker.
I’m still trying to come to terms with age differences. Poor old Murph 48, nearest contender 32, I believe?? I have to give it away before it kills me. 👿 :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:March 30, 2013 at 11:03 am #238877
Tim punching Razorback. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:March 30, 2013 at 11:04 am #238875There pretty awesome shots there murph. :cheer:

Thrillseekers first go at the big step. :woohoo:
This is the critical point. Yes he does make it.
Please adjust your screen to the angle of the trees, if ya can, it kinda puts it all in perspective.  👿March 30, 2013 at 11:11 am #238876great pics Murph!
