Hey boys! I have’nt been online for a while, work comitments and a six month old keeping me busy.
I managed to get out riding at Woodenbong on the weekend, great day, but the kick starter off the Kato was having so much fun in the Woodenbong forests it decided to stay there.
Does any one have a spare kick starter for a 07 450 EXC or know where I can get a second hand one from, I have priced a new one and they want $200.00, I have rang most of the wreckers in NSW and QLD with no joy.

    Cheers

Anyone got the phone number for that guy that crashed in the COndo on his Kato? :P

They are stupidly expensive. What’s wrong with your button though Ray (not your belly button either)?

To be honest they are not much dearer than a XR600 kicker. $187 for the last one we bought. Bite the bullet and buy a new one,Katos are notorious for that screw coming out of the kicker, the chances of getting a 2nd hand one are very remote IMO.
Knock off some loctite from somewhere too:dry:

Havent riden for a couple of months, as I have been trying to bring Australia out of recession, so the bloody battery was flat, so I was kicking the bike, first time ever, and the f@#king thing falls of half way through the day, the battery would not hold charge, so you can imagine what I was doing for the rest of the day.

THe screw for the kicker will also set you back about $9.00 from memory too.Lost the one out of the 530 once.

Hmmm…that sucks. Doesn’t the battery get charged when the bike is running though?

I think Mick is right though, you may have to bite the bullet and get a new one.

$200 is cheap! well not really but compared to a suzuki RMX which is nearly $300  also worth a shot is one from a 2 stroke 300/380 I believe they are the same:dry: I buggered my 99 380’s and my mate on his 03 525 lent me his for the rest of the day.

    Hope this helps

Welcome Scotty, how about an intro bit about yourself so the boys can ask for you also at Sutto’s
