:) Thanx to MickP for the advice a long time ago and NickJ for the reminder this week (no thanx to TB actually at all)

I grabbed some Pool Skimmerbox Socks from KMart (Coles here don`t stock them) $5 for 5 socks ;)

Here is the standard 690 filter and springs clean, oiled & ready to go back in

Airbox clean & ready for filter

Filter snorkel (airbox lid) and clean skimmer sock ready to go back on

Oiled up the sock & installed over the top of the snorkel (only oiled the one half that is actually going between snorkel & filter to catch the dust) Left the rest oil free so as to not collect an abundance of extra dust on top of the Airbox

All back together ready to ride

A very simple mod that can be easily be replaced quickly on a long ride without removing the actual Airfilter if it is reasonably clean ;) Not to mention the extra life expectancy of the Air Filter due to less cleaning required & less Filter Oil expense too :woohoo:

    THANX AGAIN GUYS B)

I can`t take any credit for this one mate,,,,
But I do like the fact of being able to share the tips with others on here ;)

Like my tank anchor tip, now Twobanger is gonna have a go at two spinners in a Husky tank  :)

Same principal should work on a variety of late models bikes with plastic tanks, there are heaps now with plastic tanks that have fasteners for all sorts of things like shrouds etc etc , and if not treated carefully they can strip out, seize up or like mine, spin freely in the tank
