    My mate has his 85 XR500R to offload,
    He is getting an upgrade next week to a modern 250 and is reluctantly selling the old girl. I have ridden it, & it is a sweet old machine, a lot of refurbishment went into her cosmetically when he got it a couple of years ago.It had been knocked about on the outside, but mechanically she is good. It is in as original style, red/blue trim etc , new tyres, cables, recovered seat, forks were rebuilt in last 12 months. It doesn`t get out much & is kept in a shed & maintained relly well.

    The mate`s name is STORMPATROL, he joined OB`s yesterday, I will leave it to him to add more info etc
    I think he would rather hang on to the old girl, but he has a handbrake like me :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :woohoo:

    its a 84 xr 500r twin carb and a real gem i am startin to get real jumpy bout sellin her, round $2000.00 and i think thats not but being realistic $ 2000.00 is a fair price . YEAH ITS ON EBAY UNDER HONDA XR 500R HOW DO YA DO THE LINKY THING ????

    Hes at work mick,
    I believe its on Ebay at the moment, I went over & saw him late yesterday arvo. OH, and I ran my hands over the old beast while I was there incase it is gone before my next visit:lol:

    There are only 2 XR500’s on ebay, neither are an ’84’ so he musn’t have gotten round to it yet….
