nar all good info. next time i fire up the forge i’ll harden AND temper the levers and see how they go.

i tried my old man’s car levers and they are just too thick! and bruised the rear rim. they are not a flat profile, rolled sides ( if that makes any sense ) o==o um looks something like this:blush:

i’ll have some time to get it right as i now have to wait until i get the locks.

Dont need nothing flash, you can pick them up from the local bike wrecker for a couple of bucks each,or bike shops will sell them to you for about $20 bucks each

    ok next Q?

how much will locks affect the wheel balance? if at all.

do you tighten them after the tyre is inflated or before?

    #139650

ya wont notice the balance on the dirt mate.

and you tighten them after inflating…

it will be a different bike mate;)

For the cost of buying a decent set is it worth the effort? Sorry for being negative :(

I assume you’re talking about the levers moto?

I just bought a set of ultimate levers from ballards $32/pair and they have wrench cut outs on them.

Moto is so dumb I doubt he’d know which end of a spanner to use let alone make one. You’re not any better Ollie, just let it all out and tell everyone that you are gay like you told me in your PM. We all know it, why try and hide it?

Because unlike you i have the knowledge! and ability!

    :P

AND If you had read the whole thread:huh:

i am doing it to tune my forge!

and once i get the tyre levers right i will have a dedicated set to take away riding.

and i doubt that the local shop would have ballards on the shelf and i doubt i would get them for the aforementioned $32.

I’m starting to like you. You might just be slightly less dumb than the rest around here. Boony and Moto have NFI. Your levers are crap but I won’t hold that against you.
